Scott Pilgrim took on a lot in his battle for Ramona Flowers -- dudes, ladies, twins, Jason Schwartzman -- but he's yet to face one mighty foe: the ravages of time. He's combatting that very enemy this week, dropping his game's price on Xbox Live Marketplace from 800 MS Points ($10) to just 400 ($5) until Monday, November 15.
Between this and Super Meat Boy's introductory price, you could have yourself a veritable smorgasbord of digitally distributed delights for just few dollars -- let's just hope you've got plenty of spare patience for each. And all this arrives just in time to catch some new DLC for each game? It's a Christmas miracle!

I caved in and bought it this Saturday. For how much I played the game I'd pay 1200 points for it....

When is Monday November 14th? Which year? That can't be this year.

Exactly what calendar is Joystiq using? The 14th is a Sunday, not a Monday.

This game is akin to Castle Crashers, Double Dragon, River City Ransom, etc. If you don't like a good beat 'em up with kick ass soundtrack, I'm afraid the gamer inside you is dead. Too many years of Madden rehash, FPS flavor of the season, and Guitar Hero: We Ran Out of Titles have damaged what your mind knows is gaming nourishment.
I mean really, how can you hate on any game that allows 4 player couch co-op these days?

So what's the game like? It looks like a rebrand of Castle Crashers (not that there's anything wrong with that).

@Teancum Whats it look like? its Scott Pilgrim!! :O
LOL 2D side scroller more pixelated than Castle Crashers, also i prefer the 8bit music in it over Castle Crashers as well. Don't know your age but if you remember River City Ransom of old, that's the best comparison to SP vs the World.

Even if you're not a fan of SP, this is a really well made beat'em up game, with a lot of depth and a LOT of retro love for the old 16-bit button mashing days. Do yourself a favor and play the demo, and try not to smile.

I wanted to like this game, but it felt unbearably slow to me. I think I'd like it better if everything was twice as fast.

It's easier when your card is on there so that you can just add points freely and what not. You don't have to enter in your information or codes every time you want to purchase something online. I was easily able to delete one card and add another from the website. It's not like they are going to secretly charge your card or something.

Yes, I have many friends. Most of them actually do live far away. I don't have friends come over every weekend to play video games with and I only have a small handful of friends that actually do play games. Good enough for you? If this game had online co-op, which it should, I would have bought it already. Every review of this game asks why there is no online play. I think I'm pretty justified in wanting something as simple as being able to play this online with friends.

@Kaminaaa not all friends are into video games, or would come over just to play. When I have friends over we usually spend time socializing doing something else, and video games are the kind of things I do when I'm by myself and need entertainment.
I would love to play a game like this with others so if it has online which is normal nowadays then problem solved. I might pick this game anyways but it looks like a lost opportunity to make the game even better.

I don't live with the Tanners anymore. I can't just hit the couch with Danny and Joey and have at it. Times have changed. Thankfully, Becky's looks have not.
Have mercy.
