Rumor: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster to include Mega Man, Frank West, and more

A source shared what they claim to be the full roster for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, containing no fewer than 18 characters who have yet to be announced by Capcom, in addition to a new "War Machine" look for Iron Man. The list includes characters like the Red Arremer, Mega Man (in Battle Network and classic styles), and Frank West/Chuck Greene (probably as alternate versions of the same character) on the Capcom end, and Ultron, Squirrel Girl, and Thanos from Marvel. The most random character on the list is probably Victor Delacroix from 2003's Chaos Legion.

Though, of course, all of this new information is unconfirmed, it's worth noting that She-Hulk and Zero, both appearing in the list from our source, were announced after we received it. In addition, some of the characters, like Frank West and Soki, are believable because they were featured in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (like Zero) and thus are probably relatively easy to update for MvC3. The Mega Man character is likely also similar to the Mega Man Legends-style version found in Tatsunoko. It's possible some of the new characters are even based on Tatsunoko movesets -- Delacroix makes more sense if he's taking the place of the sword-wielding Karas or Tekkaman Blade, for example.

It wouldn't be a Marvel vs. Capcom game without the Marvel's webhead and Capcom's Blue Bomber, in my opinion.

Anyway, while I'm very happy with the roster for #3, I'm still hoping for Protoman to be a playable character, even if he's added as part of a DLC pack for the near future. If Roll could get into the first two games, then why not Protoman?

Any Mega Man but EXE. Classic, X, or Volnutt only please.

Really? EXE Has a wider range of attacks than either Classic or X, what with the HUGE variety of both short- and long-range Battlechips. Plus, his design is just as good as the others. Personally, I like the idea, since that would mean X (Zero), Legends (Tron Bonne), and Battle Network (MM.EXE) would all be represented in the game.

Megaman exe/ original? As a megaman fan, I'd love to see both. Same with frank and chuck.

I am SO pulling for Megaman EXE. Like any Megaman, the moveset builds itself.

Capcom had waaaayyyy too many street fighter characters in MvC2, especially since they have 20 years of fantastic titles to draw from.

I know there were a lot of SF char on MvC2 but (as far as my mind goes) everyone was meant to be in the game, there's no charachter i couldn't use and enjoy in that game, anyway, i'm gonna miss cyclops and gambit more than Ken and Akuma, that's for sure

@Jack Kevorkian Where is Doctor Strange?!?! This is made all the more annoying by the inclusion of Misty Knight, a non-character from the late 70s who was like, Luke Cage's friend or something.
Also, Daredevil would have been awesome too. >=(

You know what sucks? I'm so excited for this and will buy this day one, but I already know that I won't even really like it. I'm just a huge video game and comic book nerd that I have to own it. I'm not really into these games and don't play fighters online. I will play it by myself for a bit to see all the cool characters and then that's it. I still have to have it though, because of the roster. Ugh. Anyone else in my boat?

not really like that but can understand your point, i bought Blazblue (well, both of them) and loved itbut nobody played against me since my friends are mostly casual gamers or less and there's no many people online for it but i'll never trade that game since even the opening is amazing but haven't been on my ps3 for months.

About MvC3 also day one purchase but i'm so afraid of not enjoying it as much as MvC2, the last one even my Girlfriend would play it

Right there with you. I suck at all the Street Fighters and MVC2. Im half way decent at mortal kombat. Despite all that I continue to play them.

Really? BlazBlue CT had a very active community untill CS came out, and CS online is still pretty active. I'm on PS3 aswell.
