@LosEndos Here's a novel idea. Howsabout Bethesda and Obsidian fix all the bugs in Fallout: New Vegas, before trying to sell us DLC.

Just an observation.

Don't bitch if you buy this and a couple of months later there is a GOTY edition.

It's not like you didn't see it coming.

Yeah, I'm not making the mistake of buying the original version and then the GOTY edition, again.
I'll just wait patiently for the GOTY edition with all the bugs fixed to come out!
It's not like I don't have lots of awesome games to tide me over until then...

I\m really hoping this is liek the real sierra madre and one of the quest ends involves you getting the other guys to turn on each other.

@Indefinite Implosion Although hilariously, the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 was even more prone to crashes and bugs than the original.

@Brook Games don't "win" GOTY. They award it to themselves, it's just marketing.

@Brook

There are over 400 game of the year SKUs for games in the last 10 years. Does that summarize anything for you? To think that the title "Game of the Year" is anything more than marketing (a lot of which is backed by certain media outlets) is pure insanity.

So did they every release the second console patch? If so any feedback?

I've been holding off on New Vegas until I get confirmation that it's running properly.

It's not running properly. My gf is playing it and she shows me quest-breaking glitches all the time. Her latest set her back 10 hours of play since her only "good" save game was 10 hours before. I'm not 100% sure where she was but she said something about contacting factions. There was an NPC at an intercom saying the same phrase over and over and she was stuck in a locked room of which this NPC had to open (or something).

New Vegas sounds really good, but I'm not sure I want to put myself through that kind of frustration.

As much as I love Fallout, who says there will be a GOTY? FNV wasn't as well received as 3. Then again, Borderlands had a GOTY edition so as long as one person on Earth says it's GOTY then they will make it.

@TheBatman4141 it doesn't have to be GoTy for a goty edition. They can just all it the ultimate, complete, crunchwrap supreme edition and pack all the dlc in there

There are hundreds of GOTY awards, odds are NV will win one even if Bethesda has to concoct it.

I already beat the game through, being a good ole boy and was planning on taking another run through it playing evil to the bone. Now with this new DLC coming out next month, I may just hold out and wait till it releases.

As for it being exclusive to Xbox360, well I do play mostly 90% of all my games on my Xbox360 and about 10% of them on my PS3 and PC. I do like that the DLC is coming out, but for my friends that have this on the PS3, there out of luck..which I think is just bull. Hopefully the exclusive DLC will open up to both PS3 and PC early next year.

What the hell? The bugs and glitches in this pile of crap called "Fallout New Vegas" make the game completely unplayable, and they're working on DLC content to squeeze more money out of the lucky few who are still able to play? DO NOT BUY.

@HaloisthemostOverratedGameEver

The patches seem to have caught most of them. I only had about 1 crash through my entire playthrough. There were a couple scripting bugs, but with the GECK editor, those can usually be fixed.

This game barely works on its own. The DLC will render it completely unplayable.

Yeah, how bout we get a patch that fixes the ridiculous, game-breaking saved game bugs first before they start giving us more content that is likely to make things even more corrupt? This bug stopped my wife's game cold a few weeks ago and we've both refused to pick it up again until this ridiculous bug is fixed. I honestly should've tried to return the game because of this game-breaking bug, but we've been patiently waiting for a patch that is still yet to come.

Has anyone heard whether any of the DLC will raise the level cap above 30? I am not even to the part where I deal with Benny and I am already maxed out. In Fallout 3 it seems like it took me longer the max out, but I kept playing long past then - by the time the DLC came out, I probably wasted 5 or 6 levels of xp.
