Hells yeah!

To this day, I still don't know how I got that tape, but I remember watching it many times and being amazed at the technology they had. I was used to playing stuff like Mario All Stars and Super Mario World, going to DKC was literally like a console generation ahead.

@Apollo26 I don't know why you guys keep treating the phrase to be illegal to use. Yes it was trademarked, but Nintendo said they encourage people to use the phrase.

At this point, Retro has a more consistent track record than Nintendo themselves over the last decade or so.

Retro would make a sweet Zelda game, I'm sure of it. That new Zelda game that Nintendo is making on the other hand....not so certain about that one.

"Retro took a series I didn't even want to care about, and made something great with it."

And you gave it a 4.5. I care about this series a huge amount as they were some of my favourite games on the SNES (I actually own 1 and 2 on the Wii virtual console. I have nothing against the 3rd just haven't forked over the money yet). So I am guessing this is a 5 star game for me.

I really wish Nintendo would pay attention to the cries of its fans that we want harder games! NSMBW was excellent, but I feel didn't really get challenging until the final few worlds. Mario Galaxy 2 is my favourite game (and one of my favourite games on all systems in the past few years) but it was TOO EASY. I understand they have to make the games accessible for kids, but what about those of us who were kids when the first entries into the series came out? We need (Mario) games that keep up with our growing video game skills. Please.

You're not missing much with DKC3. It was still a good game, but nothing compared to its predecessors. The first two games had much better settings and soundtracks, as well as overall gameplay.

Pfft, my video game skills have deteriorated over the years.

Of course, I stopped gaming for a couple of years, and then came back to it, so that certainly didn't help. I remember games I could completely dominate as a kid, and if I try them now.. embarrassing. =P
