Amen. Amazon's prelude sale often beats these "deals". They change every day to boot so you get a good variety. I also look forward to their actual Black Friday, Cyber Monday stuff.

Couldn't agree more. Honestly, this year's general Black Friday ads look overall disappointing. Unless you are in the market for a new television or related home audio/video hardware, I'd say it's safe to skip out this year.

Anyone else find it funny that some of the newer releases are only mentioned in the ad as "guaranteed to be in stock" but aren't actually discounted in any way, shape, or form!?

@Ellimem I love how Killzone 2 is new for $15, and on the next page they show it for $25 used.

I also hate how they try and make these "deals" look good by saying "$90 value!" on bundles that are not even exclusive to BF, and that you can go pick up for the same price right now at ANY store (Wii Bundle).

Like someone else said, Amazon and Walmart's deals eaaasily eclipse GameStop's poor excuse for a sale.

A crack in time for 15 bucks is kind of a sweet deal...

but yeah, not the kind of deals you expect for black friday.

Wait, are you serious?
A Wii or 360 for $99 "sucks"?

How much do consoles cost over there!?

So? That's still bloody cheap, and they work the same.
Is second-hand stuff worthless over there or something?

Not in Australia.
I often sell games I don't really like and get back what I paid for them new. Plus, we would save pobably only $50 buying a console 2nd hand, or maybe $30 off of a $200 processor.

Second-hand stuff is only cheap if it's outdated.

Some of the worst deals, maybe of all time.

If more people took time to research the better deals out there (Like K-Mart for starters) Gamestop wouldn't be able to get away with this type of crap and would be forced to compete.

@Barkley610

It's worse actually. Walmart's deals:

Games for $10 (only includes those mentioned in the ad, over 80 available in-store)
* Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3)
* inFamous (PS3)
* God of War Collection (PS3)
* Killzone 2 (PS3)
* Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction (PS3)

That's not even 1/10 of the total $10 games, and already they've got better prices.

The GameStop I work at opens at midnight because that's what time stupid Walmart is opening...but I think our doorbuster deals don't actually start until like 5:00. At least that's what one of our managers said. It doesn't make any sense, but whatever. I haven't really been impressed by anyone's deals this year anyway.

Half of the deals are "BUY USED CRAP! GET MORE USED CRAP!"

Knowing GameStop, I am surprised the entire deal isn't for used stuff. "Buy used stuff, get 10% more money when you sell used stuff to us! Then buy more used stuff, and get 10% off!"

I work for GameStop too. I was hoping to set aside a few good deals for myself but not with these ads! Kmart, Walmart and Target blow these out of the water. Only good one I see is Fallout Vegas $20 off.

Let's be honest, basically all of these Black Friday deals are junk, unless you do not already own a console.

The only place I have ever seen OMG-GAMEZ! deals was on Steam.

The deals don't seem THAT bad. Just not as good as a lot of other retailers.

Either way, my Christmas Shopping has already been done, and I have a $60 GameStop giftcard to spend on myself. I was planning on getting Fable 3, and two used DS games at around $20 a piece, since it's Buy-One-Get-One-Free for used. Seems like the best combination of deals under $80.

@dgonchild Its a rebate set up by Blizzard. Counts as a sale but they make no money. They just want the monthly sub anyway the cost of packaging makes no difference.

Plus you buy the game then you are likely to buy the new expansion.

These "deals" are probably the worst black friday deals EVER. Gamestop has ran better promos on a random given WEEK. Where I work we are already selling the 25th anniversary Red Wii's for $199, we had a 1 day sale 2 weeks after new vegas was released and were selling it for $39.99, and it seems every other week we always put our videogame accessories 20% off. Also the WoW is just a way to suck people into the profit making monopoly MMORPG world.
