Look, if you're planning on camping out at a nearby GameStop to be the first in the door for all the savory deals therein, then you're already a certifiable madman. There's nothing you can do about that -- however, you can become a well-prepared certifiable madman if you take a few moments to check out the retailer's official site. An update to the GameStop Black Friday splash page has added an interactive map showing which of its brick-and-mortar locations will be opening right at midnight this coming Friday, November 26.
Don't worry, if your nearest store isn't one of the 800-odd locations included on the map, then your friendly neighborhood game store will fling wide its doors at 5 a.m. instead. That's still crazy enough, isn't it?

Best deals I have seen so far are on Amazon and i don't even have to leave my house, so why camp out in the cold?

the best deals they have will show up for black friday, but they won't be on until then. I got an e-mail telling me that on black friday they would have 50-75% off on games. Chances are they are specific games but still being able to sit at home and shop without standing in the cold just to save a few bucks seems more worth it than driving around town.

If you shop between midnight and 5AM, you'll get double points for your rewards card, so that's something, at least.

after looking at the leaked gamestop ad I don't see any reason to go at midnight. Don't see there even being a line for it to open.

No, the Doorbuster deals won't kick in until 5am. They can't sell these items to you at midnight because of very limited stocks. Is sad. Gamestop is trying to play with the big boys of other bigger retail chains. However, they can't pony up the goods.

If i had to guess if the sale prices would deal with any of the newer games i would say probably not, but i could be wrong. the e-mail i got just said 50-75% off games with a whole lot of small print i have no urge to read. They probably have a link to black friday deals on the front page.

I was a former Gamestop manager from the NYC district, for a long time. I am so glad this year holiday season I am no longer with Gamestop. 5am? I would have to wake up at 3am. Driving or even biking to my store by 4am. Subway isn't running on schedule. What a freaking way to spend your Thanksgiving holiday to be in the store 4am in the morning. System bundle deals? You mean if I have buy each item separately it will cost the same anyway? Love the Gamestop speaks. For all the years, there is never really a deep discounts on systems. For the love of god, don't buy used systems as gifts for the holiday season. Especially those old PS2 and xbox.

There is absolutely no reason to go to Gamestop for Black Friday (I would argue that there is no reason to go to Gamestop AT ALL).
While other outlets are giving discounts and buy 2 get one free deals, the best I've seen Gamestop offer is buy two get one USED FREE. There is nothing Gamestop is offering you can't get at a better retailer.
Please people, stop giving them so much money.

Is to buy 2 used and getting 1 more used game for free. Not a bad deal if the used games are the ones you want. You have 3 games you want to buy and each of them used is about $50. You pay only $100 for 3 $150 games. I can assure you the buy 2 get one free deal would always be around. The only thing I have problems with GS promotions is that their system deals aren't really deal at all. Please, don't buy those legacy consoles like the PS2 and Xbox. Every holiday seasons the company like to stock up on those in the hope that cheap consumers would buy them. Some of these consoles have been traded and bought so many times that it is not even funny. Same thing with the used games business. A single copy is traded and bought maybe 5 to 6 times.

I'll be working midnight to 8:00 am unfortunately... It's stupid for any place to open at midnight good deals or not.

I feel bad for anyone who bothers to get there that early for all the crappy so called "deals". GS must think it's customers are dumb.
How many times a year do they have "Buy 2 get one free used"?
I'd be more impressed with a BOGO or B2 get 2 deal for BF

Jesus christ. No one cares what your opinions are regarding Gamestop's black Friday deals or Gamestop as a company. If you font like the deals, don't go. If you don't like Gamestop, don't shop there. For my money, I'd rather go to Gamestop and talk to someone that actually knows something about gaming, and only wait in line 15 mins max instead of 45 at Walmart or BestBuy. Oh and if you are hating on the B2G1F used deal, try finding some of the older games they have used in the new section of your favorite bigbox retailer. Good luck.
