Depends on how much you can forgive a crash every minutes. I kid I kid, it's more like every six.
It's still a great game, just, you know, save often. And start it up in xp compatibility mode, it says it supports vista and up, but that is a vile lie.

Actually crashes and long load times were pretty much eliminated by the Enhanced Edition patch.

Witcher 1 was such an awesome game. It's a shame console only players never got a chance to play it.

Remember, if you buy it at GOG.com instead of Steam you get it DRM-free and more money goes to the developer! If you really like the steam interface you can always just load your GOG copy into Steam. :)

Because if so, screw that. I bought Dawn of War II, and it had BOTH Steam and GFWL, which made things so much lamer. At least GFWL integrates with my 360 account, Steam is just annoying. Both are annoying and I'd like to avoid any annoyance when playing a game, so I hope the retail version is DRM free.

@RKN I never stated that Steam is annoying. The guy who responded to me did. I love the overlay and believe the only reason to purchase games outside of collectors editions is to support developers (I don't care about owning a physical copy or if what I'm doing is illegal) which is why I think that GOG is the better choice. Buy it on GOG, load it into Steam. That's what I will be doing.

I've got the first game, and I tried to play it about 10 times. The control scheme was so horrible to me, I never got past five minutes in any time. Which is too bad, I heard it was a great game.
