According to Autopia, the vehicle weighs 474 pounds, is over 100" long and 23" wide, with the rider lying 28.5" from the ground. It looks awesome and we'd totally ride on one, but only after we did the responsible thing and registered as an organ donor. Check out some footage of the real-world Light Cycle after the break.

With the option to purchase an actual Tron Light Cycle out of the question -- 'cause, they're in the computer -- we'll have to settle with the dream of owning a replica by Parker Brothers Choppers. The shop made 10 street-legal Light Cycle machines and one of the four remaining can be yours for the rez-onable price of $55,000.

Boooooring!
I wanna see it pick up some speed dammit!
Looks like you need a long body to feel properly in control of the thing but still, a masterpiece for sure.
Looks the NUTS!

Yeah, I wanted to see em take it on the road, but I guess they didn't feel like dying.

It almost seems like the thing doesn't go faster than 5 mph....plus b/c of the geometry, even looks terribly uncomfortable to ride.

Nothing some Swedish memory foam and a hand warmer on your gonads can't fix, although...you'd probably fall asleep...

I like the thought of having a tron bike, but there are some things in this world that shouldn't be replicated. This "Looks" proportionally wrong (not saying it isn't, just going by looks), it's like they need to shorten it some.

man... I've dreamed of riding a light cycle for as long as I remember. But seeing it live, in reality... it looks kinda dumb. That bike looks like a giant dildo... No bueno mi amigo.

That's part of why tron worked. Things in it only make sense in a completely different kind of world from our own.
Take just about anything from tron into the real world and it's the lamest cosplay ever. Their death frisbees and leotards are not actually cool.

@UseSplashAttack Agreed. The music, and the first and last 15 seconds of the video sucked. And why didnt it light up?

I could definitely see me flipping/dropping this thing in a tight turn; even in a turn that my Shadow could make.

That is sweet. Really, do want. Especially with this anticipation of Tron: Legacy flowing through me.
Would be cool if they had a light effect beaming out of the back. And the vehicle should be glowing in some areas.

You know as much as I thought it would have been cool to ride one in real life I now realize that I'd have more fun just riding them in a game. Hell a light cycle flash game would be more fun that trying to ride that,

@DarknessBear Seriously, what's the point of a light cycle if there's no light?

Owning a light cycle means don't drive it during the light cycle because you're going to be making your own light cycle.
