DS Lites for $75 at Radio Shack stores

If you need an inexpensive but delightful gift, and if you don't mind going into a Radio Shack, you may be able to get a great deal on a DS Lite. The retailer has discounted the ubiquitous handheld to $74.97 in-store, in Metallic Rose, Metallic Silver, Crimson/Black, and Cobalt/Black.

At that price, you can't expect every store to have a bunch of systems in stock, so be sure to check online using the "Find it in store" button on the website. Strangely, even the variants labeled "Not available in stores" on each product page did have units available in stores once we put our ZIP code in and checked.

Actually, with the 3DS around the corner, a cheap Lite would be the only one I would recommend.

... oh fine. I'll upgrade from my classic.

Is the only real difference between this and the DSi the camera?. I'm giving my son a DSi for Christmas, and yes, I've been playing around with it. Now I kinda want my own, but not enough to drop the $ for a 3DS in a few months

The DSi also loses the GBA slot from the Lite if you care about that.

The camera, no GBA slot, added DSiWare games, and I think a few other minor changes.

The screen is a tad bigger on the DSi and MUCH bigger on the DSiXL version.

Thanks guys. Having a gameboy slot would be nice but if I get one for myself i'm going to want some of the DSiware from what I've seen so far.

I can't stand the mushy buttons on the Lite. I'll stick with my DSPhat even though I'll need to spend some money soon to replace one or both screens.

Still rocking the Nintendo DS Phat.

Indeed.

Don't even bother at this point. Unless you've very very lucky you will not find one. All the hoarders would have cleaned out every last one. Even the pink ones are likely gone at this point. People are greedy little *****.

@Uracat i worked at a gamestop for years, believe me the pink would have been the first to go
