IIRC, Bioware Montreal was hiring people with experience in multiplayer so it's more-than-likely that they will have a new and separate team working on MP, so as not to hinder the singleplayer development (which I think is being developed in Edmonton? Could be wrong ).

@mangosango Sucks though, because (as pointed out on one of the other comment sections) every cent that's spent on MP is one that isn't being spent on single player.
I don't understand why they can't just release this and then release a separate game at a later date set in the ME universe that is multiplayer.

Guess I should read first.

I feel like Microsoft would be silly to not try and buy up a little exclusivity time.

But then again, It seems like Bioware wants this to release on all platforms simultaneously.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Microsoft lock down some exclusive DLC at the very least. Or, hell, EA's been rather cozy with Sony lately, maybe Sony will pony up some dough, who knows!

@TraceurRyuk Prepping for LBP2 thats a relief! my xbox bit the dust along with all my ME1 and 2 saves(yes yes i'm that idiot who forgets email and password of his own gamertag). So i'm looking in to buying ME2 on ps3 and then ME3 on ps3 to transfer save.

Yeah, that's definitely a possibility with EA and Sony's new partnership. I certainly hope so, seeing as I mainly game on my PS3.

Sweet, hopefully we get a good look at Earth this time, or maybe it will even be one of the major planets we visit. Can't wait, Mass Effect is my favorite new series of this console generation!

It implies that the Earth has some kind of plot significance besides being the human homeworld, unless the reapers are as they say only destroying the human race. But that would just be racist!

No, it's not. You haven't even seen anything from it. Stop being a fanboy. And stop being a dick too; not everyone can throw money around them.

As much as I like ME, I'm going to wait until I see the game before I get hyped.

@dogmaticatheist That's an interesting point. I was under the impression that the difference in price between pc games and console games was to make up for the licensing fees. So does this premium mean that the developer is seeing more of a cut? Or the publisher? Hmmmm...

@Jerkface Killah

The extra $10 on console games does in fact go to Sony/MS. The issue is that MW2 came out at $60 and every high profile (multi-plat) PC release since then has released at $60 as well. It just comes down to the publisher wanting more money and guessing whether they can take it or not.

@Puffy Cloud Casey Hudson said that if Commander Shepard died, then that was it, you won't be able to transfer that file into ME3. Mass Effect is about Commander Shepard, and if he ends, the trilogy ended with him

If I remember right, the penalty for that particular sequence of events is that you can't carry the save across. Although that seems a little unfair but the emphasis towards the end of ME2 was making tactically viable decisions, not necessarily good/evil.

Did you end the game in a good way before this? Then yes that save will transfer over, since it saves your data and whatnot after destroying the Collectors.

Fail, and it only plays out the following scenes of Joker and yada yada, but there's no save, and the game most likely will only let you back in either at the Omega 4 relay or in a dire enough situation, right as you're picking your last folks.

To be honest, half of it was that, and the other half was being forced to be a complete douchbag, or goody-two shoes, since if you did all the loyalty missions, some of the characters could potentially lose their loyalty to you unless you did.

So you could of made all the right tactical choices, but if you weren't high enough in either rank (which did force you to play in ways you might not like), you could of still easily failed.

They should at least give you something to view in the wake of Shepards demise, based on whether or not you blew up the collector base. A what-if scenario. It would be nice.

Well guess this points to some form of ME 3 announcement at the VGA. Unfortunate for them that it got leaked prematurely? on their own part, but not shocking.Maybe it is a multiplayer feature announcement, though I will admit I am on the fence about it.

However, I remembered playing the ME 1 DLC and thought it "could" fit as a multiplayer 'Side-Game' so to speak. Forgot which DLC it was. Pinnicale(sp?) Station perhaps?

Regardless, I am looking forward to what is in store for this game.

How many of you are going to do one more run? I know I am, I see no need for Jacob or Miranda to make it to my Mass Effect 3 game.
