Not bad looking for pre-alpha game footage.

On a COMPLETELY unrelated note, Uncharted 3. Anyone watch Jimmy Fallon and see the gameplay? Spoiler: It was awesome.

@Generalguy41

It does look good for pre-alpha. I've played a few F2P FPS and this does look great.

I hope we in the States will get to try it.

I find it funny that a war game for the asian market still only features white people.

I find it funnier that basically all major Japanese RPGs have no Japanese characters in them at all.

That makes no sense. Its like reverse-ethnocentrism: you'd expect tons of Japanese people in Japanese developed games, but it's the opposite.

@Invigilator it's funny how Gaijin (foreigners) like you seem to think that anime/manga is reverse-ethnocentrism, as if we Japanese "want to be white" lmao sigh* silly gaijin.

now i can see how you ppl might think that bc of the big eyes and blonde hair or wutever features ur claiming to be white as if the artist intended it to be that way. which is not true.

but lets look back in history shall we? Dr. Osamu Tezuka the father of Anime was inspired by Walt Disney. thus based his drawings on some of Disney's work. and with cartoons BIG eyes can express the best emotions. are your eyes 4-5 inches big on your face?? didn't think so.
as for the skin, we northeastern Asians are paler than a lot of white ppl, yet the skin tone is considered "yellow"

so we as Japanese assume that those anime/manga characters are in fact Japanese.

why dont you read this article to understand a lil better lol

It is somewhat arrogant to assume that the anime style makes the characters white, but I think this is more unfortunate and ignorant than prejudiced and hurtful. I guess most cultures that Westerners are familiar with use more realistic and formal art styles, which tends to involve an accurate representation of that culture (and it's race). I think the anime style is capable of a beauty of its own, created by man, not rooted in natural aesthetics.

It's just funny how a throwaway sentence in one culture can be an unveiled attack in another.

Trivia: Tencent is the Chinese counter-part of Activision, in terms of user base and hatedom it attracts, except that its grasp extends to general web portal, instant messaging, social network etc.

Looks good, I find it amusing how the soldiers flop like dolls when shot, they just zip into the air like an inflatable balloon

The best part of the video was the last 3 seconds.

"Achieved with CryEngine 3"

Just sounded awesome.

@Xclusion

Potentially.. depends on the focus and direction of the playing rules, game balance, objectives, maps, weapons. Crysis' multiplayer was at times highly interesting, but felt under-developed and only had two modes to speak of. Of course, that franchise has the benefit of nanosuits, ground and air vehicles, customisable weapons and cool interaction of physics.

It wasn't called Warface the last time I saw Joystiq mention it? I swear? Weird.

Weapons look very nerf gun-ish in feel. Maybe it's lack of a decent audio track, or just more dev time.

Wow. This looks better than most of the recent FPS games that came out on the market. This is a Free To Play? Why isn't it coming out in America first? We have to pay for flipping Crysis, and they get this for free? I am SO raging...
