Fallout: New Vegas 'Dead Money' trailer hosts a heist
31
The first Xbox 360 "exclusive" DLC for Fallout: New Vegas, dubbed Dead Money, lays out all its cards in a new trailer. The add-on sees you caught in a dangerous deal, where saying "no" puts you on the bad end of an exploding collar. Okay, so there's no bad end to a circular object, but ... oh, oh, got it: you're being collared in the middle of an explosive situation. Nailed it.

Meh, when it comes out for PC colour me interested. Anyone who plays New Vegas without mods is just stupid imho. You wait roughly an extra month for the official patches and you dont have any access to bug squashing mods and game/graphic enhancing ones.

@Billlop Unless you know how to mod on the console that is ;)

@Billlop I remember seeing some people with jtagged Xbox360s able to get mods to work on the 360 version of Fallout 3. I'd imagine one could do the same with New Vegas if they were so inclined.

@Billlop Really? Why do they have to be stupid to play the game without mods? I completely understand that you only want to play it if you can use mods, but If someone has a PS3 or 360 and wants to enjoy the game why shouldn't they? Just because of no mods? That's a little harsh iMho.

Unplayable? That's weird since I've played through it on 360 3 times now while only experiencing one easily fixed bug (strip gate locked me out, easily fixed by taking the monorail). This is without ever updating it even with the very first patch.

I tell you some bugs that haven't been squashed; the ones on Joystiq.com!
Nothing shows below viddler videos in FF4b7 and the latest stable release of Chrome, so I have to resort to the IE9beta to post this comment. You've had this problem before Joystiq, and you FIXED IT. Fix it again, please.

At least it wasn't as hostile and elitist as your first one.

After getting burned by bugs in this, Fable 3, and the new Assassin's Creed, I'll probably wait until after all the patches before I even think about buying any DLC.
That said, fun game.

Rushed? Sure. Broken? Kinda. But to call NV an overpriced expansion is just trolling.

No way I'm buying this garbage - they still haven't patched the broken game they shipped. The corrupted saves, impossible-to-complete quests, crashes and glitched characters are insulting and arrogant and Bethesda has lost a customer- they're not getting another cent from me.
Everyone considering the next elder scrolls should pay attention- Vegas was shipped broken to meet a deadline, and they've already committed to a release date for Elder Scrolls with a year of development still to go.

The plot sounds cool, being forced into a situation against your will with a group of strangers. The only thing that makes me hesitate is I get the impression its going to be very linear and not along the lines of Point Lookout that basically added a new area to explore.
But considering I've had very few issues with New Vegas on the whole, It will probably boil down to a matter of 'when' I have the money and not 'if'

I have no plans to pick this up. I have waited over a month for a patch to fix the DLC save issue on the 360. After 97 save files and continually reloading saves to see whether they were corrupted, I realized I was not having fun. I picked up Demon Souls for $15 and will play that instead. I will probably return to New Vegas at a later date when the disappointment is not so fresh, but I will never recommend this game to anyone.

sorry but demons souls is hardly enjoyable compared to new vegas. more like hard work.

@Cash9007 I just watched Reanimator yesterday actually, so I'm pretty confident in saying that it's not him.

Is the 360 version of New Vegas any better than the PS3 as far as glitches? I've had issues. Lots of issues.

I don't know why but New Vegas didn't grab me as much as 3 did. I may take the 800 points and buy X-Men. Depending on if I get points for Christmas.
