DICE flipped the switch today on public stat tracking for the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam"Operation Hastings" map unlock challenge. The developer is now counting down to the 69 million team actions (per platform!) required to unlock the new map on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. What's a team action? Think: healing, spotting, repairing, reviving and resupplying comrades.
A similar, more homicidal challenge was issued when Battlefield 1943 became available on consoles, with Xbox 360 players completing it shortly before those on PS3. As for PC, they're not only still waiting to unlock that map, but the game in general... yeah, we should check up on the status of that again.
Can someone tell me which map has a Flyable Huey on it? I logged in 4 hours in Rush and minimal Conquest last night and can not find it. I wanna get my fly on...
@Prboi Less people have PS3's than 360's sadly. Which means less people with BC2. But we all know I'm playing it! (On PS3, my platform of choice of course)
Can't wait to unlock this. The game is great already and this wil only make it better. Only other thing I can ask ea/dice for it to give battlefield 3 beta access with this, seeing how m.o.h. Was garbage and no one will be using it next year.
@Kinger256 The pc version is already nearing 6 million with 360 nearing 4 million. If you compare the time of this posting with how long it took to get these increases the pc version will get the map in 5 days with the 360 version getting it in 7. As fire the ps3 version load like nobody is really playing it comparitivly.

I wonder what the order is in regards to caring players, which platform has the highest concentration of team actions per time since the "operation" became available, weighed against the people playing on each platform.
How come nobody is talking about why are stats being reset to zero I know I'm not the onlyone this has happend 2 joystiq or dice pls let us know what's going on??? Or does anyone know what's up???
@Rat333 Don't worry. This happens with every new BF release since stat tracking was introduced. Your stats are being recorded and will be updated when the strain on the servers is reduced. Just try to have fun.
Thanks 4 the heads up.. I'm allmost rank 22 it's good to hear that it's tracking your stats this never happend to me in bfbc2 thanks now I can play Vietnam and not worry about this...
Vietnam is the best $15 DLC I've ever purchased for a shooter. Smoother framerates, no more crashing in eyefinity, all new weapons, maps, textures, vehicles. No more snow/desert maps!
PC > Consoles. Not all players are 12 year old boys who care only about K/D.

Description
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam will add four new multiplayer maps, as well as 15 new weapons and six vehicles, all congruous with the new 1960s locale and Bad Company 2's universal experience point system. Among other era-specific items, you'll gain access to the M79 grenade launcher, the Navy SEAL XM22 machine gun, the American Huey helicopter and the Russian T54 tank.
The DLC, which requires the Bad Company 2 game disc, will retain the game's universal experience points and add ten new Achievements and Trophies.
