@Nicerobby It's always on used items, as far as I know.

Man, I better get in there. I worked holiday for the one near me and since holidays are done I'm not sure when my employee discount ends.

@Wizardsofwaverly Usually I stock up on games with that deal. Unfortunately, I couldn't find three games I wanted this time around.

I think Steam has a tight grip on me.

Must I be on GameStop's website first?

@commenter7 - If you open up Nintendo's website, a blue portal opens up as soon as the money hits the screen.

The orange portal is permanently in Iwata's wallet. BTW, it's a one-way-only portal.

Unfortunately 2011 is a very busy year so I'll be waiting until February 2012 when the year of hell finishes, and then indulging in 3DS.

I will wait to hear what the price is. I really want it but if it at £300-£250 as rumours claim, I will need to wait a few months. There are too many great games coming out for this, many at it's own launch. I want to be able to play those games and having the 3DS alone will only make me sad.

What really worries me isn't the 3DS' price (new tech higher price yada yada), but I have this feeling a $10 price hike in games portable games is imminent.

@Sam406

But it may not be enforced at retail. Activision tried to raise the price of Call of Duty to £55 but I didn't find anywhere that actually sold it for that amount. Most were selling it for £40-45 which is what most new console games go for.

These things tend to stick in America, though. Modern Warfare 2 was $60 (A $10 hike) on PC here. And it still is. Even on Steam.

Nintendo just can't charge those kinds of prices. It's just not their thing.

Being cheaper than the other guys has almost always been one of their things. I can't think of many consoles they released that cost more than other major consoles of that generation.

I'll say 250-300.

Wont you be viewing in 6 dimensions then?!!?

According to physics it should be the 4DS anyways, since it's allowing you to perceive time as well.

Anyway, I've only got $100 put away towards the 3DS so far so I'm not going to pre-order until I'm sure I'll have enough. I don't mind waiting a few months after launch, hopefully they don't sell out like the Wii D=

Can't wait until the conference in January.

Ditto. I'm not buying multiple systems this time. I'm going to wait until at least v2. The Lite was a significant upgrade over the original DS. I'm going to hold off until the next revision of the 3DS. And, unlike a lot of other people, I don't find the launch games that compelling. It's just the usual Nintendo fare... at this point I can wait.
