Cities are boring. Architecture? Good food spots? Stuff to do? Who cares -- unless it's absolutely necessary for us to leave the comfort and security of our private basement apartment, we're just not gonna do it. That could change, though, thanks to PacMap, a new Android app that jazzes up those boring city grids with a meta-game featuring power pellets, ghosts and Puck-Man Pac-Man himself.
Sure, you could just litter power pellets around your city, dress up as Pac-Man and maybe have a few of your friends cosplay as ghosts and run around, but that's an awful lot of work. Also, you'd essentially be eating food off the ground. Hit the jump to check out PacMap in action.
@DarkNightRJ OK, I did not realize you actually move around to move pac-man. I was wondering how to control it then I just take a few steps and im like oooooh.
@DarkNightRJ He probably meant where is the Joystiq app for Android. There's an iPhone one, and I think they said that an Android one would be in development, but I'm curious too how that's coming along.
@commenter7 I remember when they released the iPhone app, they said they were going to wait for Engadget's Android app to be updated and then they'd start with that as a base.
...Well, Engadget updated their Android app since then. The only thing that seems to be stopping them is Chris Grant's Apple Fanboyism.

but no... none of that is possible. Its all because Joystiq's writers are apple fanboys. That makes perfect sense. effin moron.
What I originally thought was happening was just a game of pacman that takes place on the map of your town. Actually driving around in your car to move pacman seems interesting, but dangerous and, by the look of the video, slow.
