Thank you BananaBoat, my PR rep, for clarifying the situation in my absense.

I had to go to save a damsel in distress. Needless to say, her distress has now been replaced with satisfaction.

That's pretty sad. I wonder if Capcom Mobile will acknowledge it. The game doesn't look like much fun, either.

I really want to like Capcom, as they've been responsible for some pretty awesome franchises.

But, the day 1 paid DLC crap and now this? They are slowly making their way to the same end of the developer spectrum that Activision is on.

The "Hey, Street Fighter 4 sold well on the pc, but there was still some pirates, so screw you guys, you're not getting Super Street Fighter 4. Meanwhile we're going to release it to arcades, running on a pc" pissed me off.

First they'll need to finish up Super Meat Ball, a collection of 30 second platforming levels following a ball of meat's quest to rescue Gauze Girl. And yes it will control as horribly as one would expect of SMB on an iphone.

Also coming soon from Capcom Mobile, "Tuesday Evening Conflict" a team based third person shooter where you escort robots to break into your opponents money vault.

For some reason when Gameloft does this, it's not as offense. Maybe it's because the games they rip-off are multi-million dollar sellers (so it's not like there's going to be a huge loss in sales), or maybe it's because their "ports" are clearly tributes.

This..this is just dirty.

Oops, didn't mean that as a reply. Must've seen "Gameloft" in your post and immediately went into a blind clicking rage so I could say something negative about their blatant (and prolific) plagiarism. Why go to Korea to find rip off artists when you can go to gay Paree?

Wow, that's pretty shameless, and yet, it looks completely devoid of fun. On the other hand, 'Splosion Man was loads of fun. It'd be pretty awesome if Twisted Pixel could release an iOS version of 'Splosion Man and show them how it's done.

I was really hoping none of the gaming blogs would pick up this story because I didn't want Capcom to get publicity for this.

I'm a huge Twisted Pixel fan & an even bigger 'Splosion Man fan, with numerous collectibles from their games on a shelf in my room. To see their hard work ripped off like this is terrible.

On top of all that, the video didn't even look like fun.

Bring on Ms. 'Splosion Man instead!

Actually, I think this story has the opposite effect: it gave 'Splosion Man more publicity, and put the Capcom version of the game to shame. Everyone hates rip-offs, and everyone loves the underdog.

Capcom taking a break from handing its licenses off to nobody developers who'll ruin them, condemning the rest of the licenses and claiming they don't sell enough after releasing a terrible entry on some forsaken platform, scaring off its best talents, and seeing how many games they can copy and paste Ryu into in order to ripoff someone's indie game.

Cheers.

Kim Jae Hoon
Vanessa

Juri is modelled after Jhun from KOF

Abel is modelled after Clark Still again KOF

Hakkan is the only actual new character in terms of originality

SNK and Capcom have always had a friendly rivalry, SNK was the first one to make a dig at them with Kyo, who was a clone of the popular Ken/Ryu of the time. Capcom followed suit with Dan, and the rest is history.

I'll say this. It's lame, but Twisted Pixel should have tried developing an iPhone game from Splosion Man. People have shamelessly ripped off games for other platforms since the beginning of gaming.

Now, does this look any good? Who knows.

Splosion Man... I beat that game on Hardcore mode, I love that game... this... bastardization... needs nothing more than to die horribly. Every single time that thing giggled or chortled or WHATEVER I wanted to punch it in the face. It lacks every freaking bit of charm that Splosion Man himself has, with all of his goofy monkey running, airplane pretending, get to da choppa spouting nonsense.

CAPCOM... I used to believe in you... now look at what you have done.
