@PR0F3TA You got that right about Deadmou5. I had impossibly high expectations anyway. The cd sits nice and pretty next to the Tron Legacy soundtrack.

Uhm.... ATB is not Trance. His name does not belong up with Van Buuren, Van Dyke or Oakenfold. ATB was a 2-hit Wonder. Just saying....

@EMaster ATB is Trance. Trance is a music type not a set standered, it has MANY MANY different variations like Hard trance, Pop Trance, Psychedelic Trance, Goa Trance, Progressive Trance and Tech trance. Just because that artist/Dj does not fall under the type of trance you like does not mean thay are not Trance.

Lovely tracks - but too expensive.

Sorry DJ Hero too little too late, I wanted to get this game but all those rap and R&B songs sucked. Ok maybe not all, but listening to the great majority of them was enough to turn me off. My friend tells me all the electronica is at the end, but I'm not will to go through all that other awful stuff.

@The angry pro consumer gaming ga

i actually thought the hip hop/rap songs were the best mixed in this game and that the electro/ techno songs were mixed horribly.... especially with the random scratching sounds and don't forget the annoying as$ "CHEAAA BOOOOOYY"

Those are all awesome songs, but I absolutely hate how they're mixed. Scratching and audio cut-outs do not belong in trance songs.. to me, the whole idea of trance is for it to be fluid.

In both of those videos, the mixes sound great when they're not being ripped to shreds by pointless effects.

@Morgon Agreed. It's strange to hear the entirety of the 9PM Til I Come riff used as a tantalizer/payoff. It's interesting in a way, but it's also tiring. It's not a bad mix for some purposes, but I think I'd rather listen to the original.

You, sir, hit the nail on the head. I like lots of electronica, including trance, but the trance songs on DJ Hero 2 are by far the worst. The mixes aren't good (nor do they sound like something a trance DJ would do) and worse, they're boring to play. The Tiesto ones consist mostly of tapping the three buttons to a 4/4 beat. It just isn't as exciting as even the Kanye West mixes. (To be clear, I think Kanye's new stuff stinks, but the mix with DJ Shadow is pretty awesome).

I'm down with the new tracks, but the mashups aren't of a similar quality to the original offerings on DJ Hero... guess that's what happens when you don't keep A Trak on for your dlc?

james holden is the only "trance" DJ i can really get into. i say "trance" because i know there are some elitists who would probably get on my ass about classifying him as such, but hey i don't really care. i'm a d&b fan and am thoroughly pleased that that particular genre hasn't been represented in either of the DJ Hero games. i'll leave that to GTA III, the last real game to feature an entire radio station dedicated to moving shadow.
