No need. That is what Your Shape is for. I imagine Ubisoft will use the Your Shape brand for Kinect from now on and the just develop Fit in Six for PS3 and Wii simultaneously.

I think it's very reasonable for games in general now to be built for the Wii and Move, and excluding the 360. Though implemented in different ways, there is overlap two control methods, so it's easy to go between the two for games that aren't taxing processor-wise. Which can be good for developers worried about the install base on either system, allowing for more 'core' games on the Wii and 'casual' games on the PS3.

I wonder if anyone has lost any significant amount of weight with one of the fit games.

Will we have to endure a new Jared at some point in the future?

I know that Wii fit has worked for people when used with other stuff since they could keep track of their progress easily. I doubt the actual exercises contributed much.

Why does it need a special camera, what's wrong with the PS Eye?

I wish there was a guide for all these fitness games. Like which one is good that I don't have to buy that much extra crap. I have a Wii fit board but Wii fit would only give a good work out to some 60 year old lady. The Wii fit step thing was the only good exercise but it was very limited. The Wii board was still worth it because I loved Shaun White Snowboarding on it.

@FriedConsole there are guides if you look for them.
of the current exercise games, EA Sports Active 2 and The Biggest Loser have the full suite of exercise types including floor exercises. I think Get Fit with Mel B also has floor exercises.
Your Shape Fitness is great but it lacks floor exercises.
Zumba Fitness is aerobic dancing, Latin-style.
Zumba and The Biggest Loser had simultaneous online workouts so you can workout/dance with your friends. Zumba can have up to 8 people (a dance class?). The other exercise games don't have online.

I just hope it's better than EA Sports Active 2. That game looks (480p +AA) and sounds (awful MP3 with bass boost EQ) like an upscaled PS2 game. Most of the exercises aren't even monitoring your movement, and the ones that do are extremely spotty. Why that game didn't utilize the Eye, Move, or even the SixAxis (for its gyro sensor), is beyond me.

I'm really interested in a good workout game that uses the technology available on the PS3 (Move, 1080p, HD audio, bluray, dedicated hard drive) decently. Maybe Ubisoft is the company to finally make that happen.

So if I set my music to only death metal with the double basses a thumping and the guitars a screeching, I'll get the best work out right?

I use EA ACTIVE 2 for the PS3 and have lost about 10 lbs in a month and I'm still going. The game is kinda glitchy but works ok. I will be trying this when it comes out though. Like other posters have mentioned I wonder why it doesn't use the PS EYE though instead of MOVE.

@ImpurestCrowd I can only guess its to make sure your posing correctly, rather than anything else.

Im a little inspired to get this. I used the move and lost 3 pounds, and would like a game that really focuses on weight loss to drop about 18 more.

Yay, more fat fitness illiterate people doing some moves infront of a couch for about 10 minutes, instead of changing their diet, making use of weights and organizing a proper workout routine... -____-

I can honestly hope people don't buy these games for anything other than good old fun.
