Wow, I didn't know that Joystiq still reviewed original Xbox games.

@LittleMofreaky Yeah. I'm suprised how great this game is. Possible GOTY nominee.

For a split second I thought it was a new BloodRayne.

My hopes climbed up so high. Then sadly they got shot down.

I guess the developers could be proud that someone did at least have high hopes.

How the hell did this get greenlit???

First time I've even heard of this game... And probably the last.

I thought the daughter of Death was Ysabell. I suppose there could be an action RPG with her fighting off various monsters with a poker or something...

Her complexion is way too rosy to be Death's daughter. I think she was adopted.

Yeah, I didn't hear about this game until a friend mentioned it about a couple of weeks ago. He said it was kinda like God of War. I'm glad I didn't listen to him and go pick it up. Sounds like a waste of money.

Seems like a lot of subpar games these days have well-endowed female leads. Coincidence? Hm, probably not.

Not to say that an attractive female character can't lead a good game. The depressing bit is that this is seldom the case.

Played this game (if you wanna call it that) the other day and the cut scenes are so laughable at how bad they are, this game was made and released in europe a few years back just now making it stateside, i believe they only released it for the pc over there though. If they could have spent more time with the voice acting, controls and a few other essentials this wouldn't be a terrible game but as it is 10 minutes was just too long

The first paragraph of the review would actually make the game a very interesting game instead of the standard action RPG the rest of the review talks about. Somewhat like a different Demon's Souls or Lost Odyssey -- but your character cannot die and she would talk to those she killed in astral form. And your actions as the daughter of Death would be very conflicting -- continue to kill those who time has come or find another line of work? Plus, she plays chess with a knight from the Middle Ages!

I now would want to play a game like that. That would be all-time GOTY.

It's a pity that this didn't turn out to be a good game. I think the setting is a great idea, probably cos it reminded me of Assassin's Creed II. Man do I love that game-world. Judging by the reviews I think I'll give this one a skip.

I love this game. One of the best budget games I've played. It's like Fable, if Fable was actually an RPG. ;)

I've been eyeing it I love giving budget games a chance, usually there's a lot of fun to be had if you look past some flaws they have.

Though I have such a huge backlog right not, i'll probably not be picking this up for a but. But by then it'll be cheaper so it's not all bad.

So the reviewer is complaining about no auto-save? What happened to the old days of saving manually? If I have to choose between auto-save and manual I'd definitely choose manual. Bad decisions in game without knowing there's an auto-save up ahead that overwrite the previous one always make playing that particular game that much more fun /sarcasm

@chrnochime
You misunderstand. The reviewer isn't knocking the game for not having auto-save, he's knocking it for being misled to believe it DID.

He said the game manual states that the game auto-saves, so it is not unreasonable for him to have been irritated when he find out the hard way that there is in fact no such thing implemented.
