Dead or Alive Dimensions has Ridley stage, Samus cameo roll

Nintendo's collaboration with Tecmo's Team Ninja didn't end with last year's Metroid: Other M. A new trailer for 3DS fighter Dead or Alive Dimensions reveals a dangerous arena encircled by lava and stalked by Ridley, the winged nemesis of Samus Aran. He's not one for mild-mannered spectating, instead spitting fire and taking an unfortunate combatant for an undignified tour around the ring.

The trailer also shows that Samus has been authorized to drop a power bomb in the middle of the stage. It's flashy, and detonated without the preface of trashy fighting words -- umm, not that any DOA fighter could handle the deadpan delivery of her Other Monologues.

See the video after the break, along with a trailer that shows off more gameplay and many of the game's slightly more realistic environments. You'll probably recognize a few from Dead or Alive 3 and Dead or Alive 4.

So yeah I'm pretty sure this is a prelude to Samus being confirmed as playable. The only real question left is if she'll be staying in her Varia suit or going for a more, er, DoAish look

If you had actually written that correctly, I would have +1'ed you, but alas, you chose the *mostly* proper English version.

Didn't they say that the graphics of the 3DS were supposed to be comparable to current console graphics?

@grayskul that was a rumor. The True Specs say its a enhance version of PSP so it's closer to gamecube graphics. so it's a 3D gamecube in the palm of your hands just like the psp was a ps2 in the palm of your hands.

Playing as Samus is a given now. I tip my hat to you Team Ninja. Other M is great and now we get to power bomb Ryu.

That first video with the Ridley/Samus cameo's looks wicked - almost worth the price of admission. But given how exhaustingly cheap Dead or Alive games can be, I don't know if I want to risk hucking my $250.00 piece of hardware against a wall :)

thats unfair, that lady in the first vid was teaming up with Ridley to beat Ryu. at least he could of had Samus to help him, but no, she had to show up right after he died
