no matter what style or how much effort companies put in, there's just no way to make a weapon controller look good with Move.

They all look like they are blowing bubbles.

Unfortunately, you are correct. If the games that use a move gun are good, i couldn't careless on the design.

Just pretend it's a raygun from some old "black-and-white-alien-is-dog-hanging-from-string" sci-fi movies and suddenly it's quite charming. (I'm serious)

@arkweld Yeah, But its not like youll be looking at the end of it when youre playing, unless youre playing some sort of suicide game, Which im sure dosent exist, atleast dosent have move functionality.

shhhh! Don't ruin his 2009 trolling tactic... he's needs to practice and come into his own. If he ever plays a Move game, he will realize what he has been missing out on.

Does anyone know if the gun attachment (any of them) makes aiming a little easier?

I played Modern Combat: Domination last tonight with Move only and got owned in many encounters. Practice definitely makes perfect, however it was still very hard to get knife kills and win close quarters gun battles. Move seemed to excel when aiming for a more distant target. Perhaps its just me.

Also, does anyone mess around with the dead zones and sensitivity? That could make a difference although I wouldn't know what is best.

Would you mind explaining what Modern Combat is, and how good it is? I have heard almost nothing about it, and since Black Ops has alienated me and MW2 is N/A at this time, I'm looking for something to fill the void left by them...

@King Johngie the Fourth

Modern Combat Domination can best be described as Counter Strike on consoles. You get rewarded money for getting more kills and can therefore buy better weapons.

If you run and shoot, you will die...a lot. In real life its hard to run or walk and shoot a gun. Modern Combat gets this right. It also feels like characters have a little bit more weight to their movements.

Each level is filled with many places to hide. This sort of discourages running around without consequence like in MW/Cod. Each death brings up a screen and lets you purchase weapons (as mentioned previous). Planning your next means of attack involves planning your weapon load out carefully. Do you spend your hard earned cash on smoke grenades or frags? Shot gun or sub-machine gun? The choice is your's. As there is only a primary weapon, grenade and hand gun available at the start of every match, its important to "save up" for better weapons and get as many kills as possible.

Overall, a solid game. If you have Move, you should definitely try it out; there is a learning curve however its fun trying out a new control scheme in your shooter. The game is a little generic and a little different at the same time. Its pretty polished for an $8 shooter and will eventually have dlc. Hope I answered your question.

I actually enjoyed PLAYING modern combat more than i enjoy playing COD.
ITs very much a skill based game. If you are smart, youll stay alive, if you dont think and just run around, youll die in no time.

@Lucky48 At this time, the Submachine gun peripheral that will be available from SONY in February is the only one that uses the EXT. connector to remap buttons.
I tried the SONY move blaster with MAG and Time Crisis, and it's only just usable in Time Crisis if you hold it with both hands to press the Move button to reload. It's completely useless in MAG, Modern Combat or Killzone, probably.

@Lucky48 Thanks for the reply. I had no idea I could lock the camera. I'm also guilty of not looking at the instructions, haha. :-p

Since I used your advice, I started to appreciate Move controls. I'm still a little bit better with a regular controller, however my skillz have improved and mastery should come with time.

Do you know how Move support is being implemented in Killzone 3 or Socom 4? I'm not a fan of Move controls in MAG. There is no camera lock like in Modern Combat. Its my hope that the Move button is used in future Move enabled games, the same way as Modern Combat.

It looks like a Martian shrink ray to me. Now they just need a game to go with it with that theme. Sounds awesome to me.

I picked up the official Sony gun a day after I bought a 'body glove' set for the Move and Navigation controllers. It was a pain in the ass to get the glove on the Move controller in the first place, so when I went to slide it into the gun, I was pretty upset to realize it didn't fit properly. Maybe if manufacturers of these can account for that somehow, it'd be perfect. I either wasted $10 on the glove set, or $20 on the Gun..oh well!

Have you used the Sony gun, or did you stick with the body glove? I'm curious about how balanced and comfortable the gun attachment feels.

@tensider

Yeah, I ripped that glove right the hell off there and slid the controller into the gun and proceeded to try it out with the Shoot. After a few calibration attempts, it seems the reticle wasn't dead-on, rather a little down and to the left. So after compensating for that, it was alright. I really should have tried it with MAG or RE5 to get a better feel, but I haven't yet. I guess for $20 if you use it once and don't like, its not the worst thing in the world..

@ToKeN2k6 You need the buttons on the move for MAG. The SONY gun is useless.

I hope the SONY submachine gun that uses the EXT port will make the Move better in shooter games.

Hmm, relatively certain I've already seen this gun floating around the intertron, but frankly what I need is a pedal out of the ext port to make Time Crisis playable.
