You've seen a number of Kinect hacks. But have you seen one that integrates a Wii Remote Plus and Vuzix headset? And has you shooting weird floating anime heads with paintballs? Probably not. Developer Nao_u certainly deserves props for this ingenious, but impractical, use of motion gaming.

This proves that Sony & MS were both wrong. You need both the Move & Kinect to have a true first person experience!

It doesnt prove anyone wrong, it just goes to show that random people in japan with MikuMiku Dance and some hacked devices and drivers can create some crazy things. Actually they've even been using the Kinect as a lowbudget motion capture for MMD videos for this winter's contest on Nico video (japanese equivalent to youtube).

Not so, the only thing essential in this video is the glasses for the 3D movement, and Kinect. Problem is currently that the glasses and their resolution would make for one crappy looking FPS unless it were made for the wii, in which case it would be a mute point.

I don't think you understand the concept of VR goggle.
I am not clear how wii mote is being used in this instance. I love to learn more about this.
And I do think that this type of integration is absolutely possible for 360 gun peripheral with wii mote plus type of gyro sensor.

Oh God yes! Someone using a Vuzix HMD? THIS is the future man.
And it is great to see them killing what's being killing. Those things scare the crap out of me.

The game reminds me of the PS1 game LSD. Only with a paintball gun.

Oh shit, could you imagine what it would feel like to "fall" while playing this? Man, I get tummy wobbles just thinking about it.

Would make rail shooters amazing and more tense knowing you have to look around a full 360 degrees.

Yes it is. You're still on a rail being forced around, you just instead have a wider view range. House of the Dead 4 did this with House of the Dead 4: SE but only have a front and back screen.

What do they mean, impractical? as in like the likely hood of these two companies working together on this?

This is an update of a video already posted online. Same setting and everything, just different gameplay and new enemies.
But that's ok. Because this is all very, very incredible. Advanced virtual reality could be just around the corner. Very cool.
