"You western gamers like punchy blood games right? Well here is one for you" Seriously this look generic as hell. There are hundreds of these game already out. At least Mad World had the kick ass art style.

@Deekman
Perhaps you could name these hundreds of games.
Yes, the aesthetic does look fairly generic, and I'm disappointed about that, but there really aren't many "punchy blood games" (I can hardly think of any recent ones other than Splatterhouse and MadWorld), and certainly not multiplayer ones.

It's going to be odd seeing Jack in full colour; but hey, I'll give it a rental at the very least. Sega's MADWORLD and HOTD OVERKILL both still remain in my Nintendo Wii library... though I still need to snag VANQUISH for X360.

When the price drops. ;]

Vanquish is already $30 on Amazon. What price are you waiting for?

@foxhound it fluctuates between $40 and $30. If its higher keep checking especially on weekends when deals tend to arise when mailers hit people..

I would have liked it better if the whole game was in color, but Jack was still black and white.

The gentleman in the third picture has armor and leg details (possibly boosters) similar to Vanquish's Sam Gideon.

And even though it is ungentlemanly to say so, that is quite a rear end on the lady in the second picture. Zounds!

And I think we can all agree that it's great to see Jack again. HD Madworld for the PS3, anyone?

Nooo!!! The name was so awesomely cheesy! And I LOVE how they ripped of the Rage logo there.

Man, I hope people buy it, or the online will be dead. :( This is why I prefer single player games. Platinum games have their niche audience, and I won't have to worry about online communities in games like Bayonetta, Vanquish, and Madworld. I can enjoy those on my own. But what if this doesn't catch on? How will I play it? I hope it has bots.

@KungFuChaosNinja

your concerns are definitely warranted and no doubt shared by many, including myself. based on the generally poor reception of bayonetta and vanquish, i think it is pretty much a guarantee that this game is going to be dead in the water. believe it or not, not everyone has an internet connection or even bothers to play games online. that, plus the fact that vanquish and bayonetta were both single-player only makes the concept for this game puzzling.

i understand that platinum wants to establish new ip's with each title, but i'm not really seeing the point of this one. it really seems like they're taking a huge, unnecessary gamble by making this game multiplayer only. i already know that they're going to be disappointed when they find out that no one is playing their game on psn or xbl.

@KungFuChaosNinja plenty of niche games have a dedicated online fanbase. Ace Combat still has a hardcore group for instance. Sometimes online niche can be better as you reconize the people and rarely have to deal with griefers and aholes in general.

This looks like Mad World but with added color.

Mad World + Other Colors Besides Black, White, and Blood

The original Mad World gave me a headache but I could see the appeal to some people.
