And that's how it should've been done in the first place!

You think they used the CE's mini toy as a reference?

On Epic Weapons, the DS2 one is $160 on preorder, just a heads up to anyone who wants one.

@JnRx You'd need materials and time to do it. Materials cost cash dolla billz and time is valuable.

@JnRx Don't forget, it actually takes some talent and skills to make something that nice. This isn't papercraft...

The ones that came in the Dead Space 2 collectors are pretty garbage, I'd hope these would at least have some form of metal in 'em. Besides the lead paint.

I wish that the green lights were laser pointers. That would have made it all worth it.

@Ballistic H Not when the one you got is broken and the lights don't even work. Seriously is a piece of crap.

@baby sea tuna - Those laser pointers have to be the powerful ones where you can actually see the light stream rather than just the point on the wall where it hits.

Oh, and don't forget the holographic ammo counter HUD. As soon as we get this whole hologram thing down, it's /so/ on.

Wait, the one that came with the collector's edition came with GREEN LED's? What the hell?

Are companies STILL doing that? Blue LED's are only a little more expensive than green LED's, the time of replacing blue lights with green LED's is so freaking early 2000's. Just goes to show you how cheap companies are with producing these collector's editions. They use the cheapest plastic possible, and can't even spring for the 5 cent more the blue LED's might cost (per, if even that) while they charge you $80+ for the collector's edition.

Just to put this into prosepective, when they did the Lightsaber pen promotion inside boxes of cereal, they used green LED's instead of blue for the blue Lightsabers. So they got as cheap on you as the cereal manufacturer was in making a toy for a box of cereal.

As for the lasers, to show the beam in midair with a red laser would require so much power the laser would actually harm you. Green lasers show up in midair fine, but they are still about $30 a piece. Blue lasers are still expensive, and I don't think you can get one in the consumer market that will show you the beam like you are talking about.

If you buy these, you can never ever complain about the price of any DLC or micro-transaction again. Seriously.

@Flapjackal If you had a DS1 save on your HD/MU, then the 'Refurbished Plasma Cutter' was in the very first store you came across, at a cost of 0 credits. It was there for me.

@Flapjackal its the exact same weapon, it just a different looking version. When the announcement first went up, they made it sound like you wouldn't get the plasma cutter for a long time but the DS1 and DS2 one are pretty near each other as the store shows up not long after you get the DS2 cutter.

@sammo21 It's not exactly the same. It has a "special" ability unlocked with a power node, that sets enemies on fire.

Hell, if it's made of any decent quality steel, I'm in.

"The Plasma Cutter replica included with the collector's edition of Dead Space 2 is nice and all"

No it's not... It was a piece of crap and I threw it out right after I looked at it. The light didn't even work on mine.

I had the CE preordered until photos of the plasma cutter started surface a couple weeks before release. When I realized it was life sized if you're a 5 year old midget, I cancelled and ordered the regular version.

I was on their site the day I got my Dead Space 2 and the DS1 cutter was down to $150 and the DS2 cutter was around $190 I think.

DAMN, I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THEM BEFORE THIS PRICE HIKE!
