That doesn't look like an upward trend. Increasing staff and making less sales.

Unless Hybrid looks REALLY impressive then it will be drowned out in the shooter market. So far downloadable shooters have not stuck unless they are already attached to a large franchise.

And why doesn't that slide mention Lock's Quest? That's in there between Drawn to Life and Scribblenauts.

With all the hype train that sites like Kotaku and Joystiq shoved down our throats regarding Scribblenauts - I thought it might have performed better.

@VeeDeeVee Well, it's just that so much hype actually rebounded and went into "this game can't ve that good, won't buy". Also known as "Hype Aversion":

What I'd like to know is how those sales are split between the first and the second one. I know the first one passed a million at some point as that was mentioned, but not how much it sold overall up to the sequel. It'd be interesting to see how much more or less people picked up the sequel, since I heard a lot of disappointed gamers that just got it due to the hype and put it down after a short time with disappointment.

I was in that crowd too. I bought into the hype, got the game and sold it a few days later. Didn't bother with Super Scribblenauts.

Now I've developed Hype Aversion it seems.

@VeeDeeVee

I think the hype was built in everyone minds. Everyone thought it was cool to put God vs. Kraken but nobody thought "does this make a good game I want to play"?

i hope they make a 3DS scribblenauts, it could use the extra power and storage space to make better physics, more realistic interractions between objects, more objects at once, etc.

I really like the Scribblenauts games. It's one of the good 3rd party games on the DS which is my 2nd favorite console.
I'd love a Scribblenauts3D on the 3ds.

I guess I could say that I'm surprised by the 1m more sales for Drawn to Life, but then, there are more versions of Drawn to Life, so... Well, it's still kind of confusing, because Scribblenauts is definitely better than Drawn to Life. Not the BEST sales, though.... It's a shame so many people would rather play FPS than Scribblenauts.

Scribblenauts should have been a PC indie game that is mod-able

That makes me really sad that Scribblenauts sold less than Drawn To Life. Scribblenauts was close to being GOTY for me, and Super Scribblenauts was. Amazing games to just screw around in.
