Nintendogs + Cats 3DS breeds revealed, tears Joystiq staff apart

Civil war has broken out among three distinct factions of the Joystiq staff, each swearing allegiance to one of the three different versions of Nintendogs + Cats that are due out alongside the 3DS on March 27. The rifts were formed after Nintendo updated the games' official Japanese site, revealing the different breeds contained within each cartridge -- little did they know that by doing so, they'd be forging hostilities between a group of online writers and, more notably, best friends.

Look, we hate to make you choose sides, but we need to know where you stand. Check out the breeds below, and sound off in the comments. Unless, of course, you don't choose to join the glorious army of Shiba Inu and Friends. If that's the case, you can keep your stupid opinions to yourself.

In the original Nintendogs game, all breeds were in all versions, you just had to unlock them in a different order. Is that not the case with these games?

@WPstart No they weren't, they were segregated in the same fashion.

Everyone knows that the Labrador Retriever is the best breed hands down.

I'm torn. My parents have two beautiful shibas that I love to death, but I grew up with a basset hound that will forever be in my heart. Only the toy poodle version seems unappealing to me.

Corgi's are amazing little dogs. i had one for about 7 years before he passed away from canine anemia. most loyal and friendly little guy you could ask for. the funniest thing is they all think they are bigger than they are. he would go wrestle with labs and rots at the dog park and hold his own lol

So are we getting Steel Diver, or Pilotwings at launch too? its going to be really lame if we only get nintendogs, if thats the case looks like I will be getting SSIV and I suck at fighting games.

I just attended a 3DS event in the UK.

That display is effin sweet. I was doubtful about it but I was after a new DS, so I preordered the 3DS expecting the minimal 3D effect.
No. It's amazing. It's an absolute crime the PSP-2 won't have a 3D display.

"French Bulldog and Friends" has the Shetland Sheepdog. Shigeru Miyamoto himself has a sheltie. That's a win.
