hopefully i'm wrong but you know, i'm getting a feeling from this trailer that they are ditching the previous story arc for a new one. i'm not bitching or anything but it kinda sucks as it looks like they give a damn about what happened in the previous games.

in the trailer i saw the protagonist was killing aliens i guess before NYC goes under. so if NYC goes under does that mean that's the only state in danger ?

@RoboZombie585 In all seriousness tough, this game looks more generic and COD-like than the first one. I'm still going to get it, and I still think it will be great, but I really don't know about the whole NYC thing.

I am cautiously optimistic about this game. I have this very strong feeling I'll be disappointed with it, just like FEAR 2 from FEAR 1. : (

It is. If you go to mycrysis you can hear people complain all about it
MP cap of 12, only 3 suit modes to choose from, no vehicles in mp, no open jungle environments. Instead I imagine levels will be decently sized but not nearly the scope they were, and they'll avoid large open areas.

I don't understand the people who say this looks like CoD. First off, I really enjoyed the first two games in spite of the flaws. But I don't see how this is any more "CoD" than the first one. It's in the city, the last one was in the jungle. They both have guns, they both have explosions. They both have some large set piece moments and over the top action. The only difference that I can tell is that the super suit actually lets you make cool moves (like slide, it also looked like he was disarming a guy in one scene). Where before you could just punch people (it was quite lame). So, again I ask of those nay sayers, how is this any more like CoD than the last game?

@Integral Well, what what I've heard about the leak (I haven't played it, and I wont, because I don't support the piracy of games you can easily find (or are not even released yet. Abandonware is a different story IMHO) the game has become much more linear in comparison to Crysis 1 (which was quasi-linear and sorta open-ended) although this could just be BS. What pissed me off though is the tiny FOV (on my PC I prefer 90 Degrees. Crysis 1 pissed me off because it was at 60, along with Half-Life 2 (75) but this is just a minor issue due to Cryengine's ultra reconfigurability.) I'm withholding all judgement until the game is out though, although I was wishing that C2 would be an actual sandbox like GTA.

You had stages that you could clear any way you wanted to, but it was really just there to trick you into thinking you had choice. There were a few optional objectives but what game doesn't have those.
It didn't bug me that it was a linear game with sandbox gameplay. I think people are remembering it as way more open ended than it was. At first it looked like you could go anywhere on the island, but this wasn't the case at all. In fact some parts were incredibly linear.
But yeah, I hope there's a demo too. I def want to try this game before I buy, and I'm also very much against piracy (Barring abandon ware of course)

Why have video game trailers been so good lately? Since when did developers decide to get good music for their game? Crysis 1 is an exception to that question because the music in the first one was awesome as well, but man... Recently we've been getting spoiled with awesome trailers.

Do you have a link for that? I just looked and couldn't find any info on Hans Zimmer doing Crysis 2. I love his work so I'll be thrilled if this is true.
As far as I know the only video game he's done is Modern Warfare 2.
