@Shockwave

To clarify why, I have a Dreamcast hooked up to my monitor which provides a great resolution along with.. ya know.. brands on the buildings and good music in Crazy Taxi. For those reasons and the fact that such a small collection won't come close to the core great games needed in anyone's Dreamcast collection, it's a pass.

true. I was pissed when I tried out Crazy Taxi on XBLA only to find out my favourite song of the whole game, "Who The Hell Cares" by Methods of Mayhem (on the character selection menu) had been replaced with a douchebaggy one they got the rights for.

Hated that. Hated it.

@Shockwave Agree with you 100%, I still have a Dream Cast and it looks great on an HDTV, any HD remastered sets only remaster what can be easily changed, such as the cut scenes and menus, other than that it looks exactly the same.

Most people would complain about the product placements by KFC and such. I'd rather them be there too but if it means the game costs more then forget it. I can't see why they couldn't have left them in for an even--no money--exchange. It's not like they cast the companies in a bad light.

@SmoothMarx While i definitely agree with you, Methods of Mayhem are/were definitely Top 5 in douchebaggery when they "made it big" with their "Get naked" single.

@Nitrokilla Unfortunately no PC ports exist of those games (and they do for every game in this collection which is why we're getting them)

On one hand, I would love to have a compilation like this.

On the other, I already have Crazy Taxi for the Dreamcast and pc. Sonic Adventure and Sega Bass Fishing for the Dreamcast.

If these were like seriously enhanced versions over the originals, I could see. But I just can't see spending $30 on three games I already have, and one with two different versions of it.

Plop Sega Bass Fishing on Steam for like $5, and I might bite. No pun intended.

See, I'd happily pay $30 just to not have to leave my Dreamcast hooked up. If only there were a PS3 version.

This is a rather insulting collection. It's like they didn't try at all.

Doesn't Sega own the rights to Space Channel 5? Why the hell couldn't they include part 1?

@Lerkero All the backgrounds in the first game were pre-rendered, and would look terrible in high definition.

That's no excuse to not include it. Just don't put it in high definition. I've played Space Channel 5 on larger screens and I realized that all I care about is the fun part, not the definition part.

@Lerkero What is this concept called "fun"? Give me 10 billion polygons and out-of-control development time and costs that is passed on to the consumer over "fun" any day.

Wow they are really pushing the limits on how much they can fit on a disc. GO SEGA!

Seriously, Seaman and ChuChu Rocket should be in that collection with online play for ChuChu Rocket. This collection is absurd.

Why the HELL hasn't ChuChu Rocket been ported to the pc ten times now with online play?

We get rerelease upon rerelease of every other game, but ChuChu Rocket gets like 2 rereleases, ever, and never one for the pc with online play.

@(Unverified) No reason they couldn't put it on Steam. It would only take a day's work to compile together all the PC versions that this collection is ported from (making the dreamcast moniker ironic)

Why? It works fine outside of Steam. It's not like you can't play it at all. Mac version, plz! That said, I don't care too much. All of the games on that list that I want, I already have them in their original jewel cases for my actual Dreamcast. Which is everything but Bass Fishing >_>

is this on a disc? or a Download?
Also.. uh... how the HELL is Space Channel 5 Part 2 part of the CLASSIC remembered games of the dreamcast?

don't get me wrong I love it. But I had to import that sucker.
it NEVER came to the AMERICAN DREAMCAST!. I SINCERELY doubt so many people imported it for it to be of higher recognition than
Chu Chu Rocket. Jet Set Radio or hell Power Stone.

@Aeikozz That's a great point! I didn't even think about that. I do think it was released for the UK though. Oh and there is a PS2 port not that it is dreamcast relevant.

I was hoping that the release of this disc was going to be an indication of when Space Channel 5 Part 2 was coming out for XBLA, but with the next couple of weeks' releases announced, it's still missing. Lame.

@saturn118 Also, at last year's E3 I'm sure they stated that they'd be re-releasing around 15-30 Dreamcast games within the next year. At this rate they'll never make that target.

Whats up with the damn ads? They cover up like 1/4 of the video, and when you click the x to make them go away, they pull up a new window anyhow.
