The publisher also released the English version of the Japanese trailer that you may remember from late last year. It's still depressing in Englishl; see for yourself after the break.
The 3rd Birthday celebrated April 1 in UK, English launch trailer

Square Enix announced today that The 3rd Birthday will come crying and cold into the world of UK retail on April 1, no joke. The company also reiterated the game will be available in a "Twisted Edition" for the region. For those in North America, the due date will be a few days earlier on March 29.
The publisher also released the English version of the Japanese trailer that you may remember from late last year. It's still depressing in Englishl; see for yourself after the break.

From what I've been told, apparently the game's story is the joke.

@Takao and i'm still buying it out of principle alone. I'd love to see more Parasite eve games, and I think those will only happen if this one sells decently.

Quoting a very dear character from pop culture: "I'm too old for this sh*t!"
You know, it hit me when I was playing Dissidia last year... Characters floating and teleporting for no good reason in strange, surreal "realms" that are the way they are just because the designers felt like it... I mean, the whole JRPG thing... When I was a teenager, back in the PSOne era, I guess I just overlooked it, or thought it was ordinary. These days, I can't stand it anymore. The whole JRPG aesthetics, I mean. I still like the genre, in fact, I must be one of the only few here at Joystiq that stand up for FFXIII, for instance, but there are some things that just get on my nerves. I dunno, just felt like venting off.
Oh, nice Kill Bill rip-off, BTW. Plus time travel. It's gonna be a mess!

I'd have to agree with you and officer Murtaugh. We are getting too old for this sh*t. Maybe it's because of the over used concept of friendship being the only way to save the day. Also it might be because the main hero reminds us of when we walked in on our little brother dancing to Britney Spears in our mother's wedding dress. Whatever the case may be Im getting too old for it and I now rather play games with more testosterone and less estrogen.

You totally nailed it when you mentioned the "friendship is the only way to save the day" thingy... As for the little brother and the rest of those disturbing stuff... Maybe you should see a shrink about that... along with the forementioned brother.
But anyway, I'm probably picking up Bullestorm today to shoot some dick-tits in the their assholes, so, hell yeah, down with estrogen!

Much of a fan of Yvonne Strahovski as I am, why did they hire an Australian when they're sticking with an American accent, particularly if they're not even using her as a physical model à la Mass Effect 2?

Not sure if you can handle the truth on the release dates of the first two.

I just got the novel Parasite Eve from Borders this week, really interested to see how the novel inspired the game.

They really need to stop letting Toriyama write anything. That looked woeful.

I wonder how many people have questioned the existance 1st and 2nd birthday games.

@The Only Girl
Hah, good point. Apparently, they had some legal issues with the Parasite Eve name (copyright or whatever), so they just had to stick with something else entirely.
I love me some PE (1st one is one of my favorite games of all time), and the trailer was going really well, until that freaking J-Pop song started playing. Where's Shimomura? :(
