I love Sony's recent emphasis on user created content. This is the way to prevent excessive used game sales, EA - not online passes. Give players a reason to hold on to your game. I still play Modnation Racers regularly, and Little Big Planet 2 will remain high on my playlist for many months. This just got an instant buy from me and will, again, likely persevere as a regularly played game.

@Fallow
The only thing I have against EA's Online Pass is that it bugs me about purchasing one every time I fire up NFS:HP (which I've borrowed from a friend), other than that I have no problems with it. EA is trying to get some revenue from the used games market and I see no reason for them not to.

Also, kudos to EA for not disabling the Autolog even though I haven't got an Online Pass.

This is an amazing, amazing idea. One step closer to traditional modding for content seen on the PC (aside from exceptions like UT3 on PS3).

Just this feature alone has put the game into my radar, and will most definitely speed up buying inFAMOUS 1 one of these days.

@PointlessPuppies You should do it.

InFamous 1 is a great game with a great story and an even better ending. It will help you to recap the story when I2 releases. This games is a day one for me, just for the user generated content alone, dont even talk about the game's main story

So, it's kinda like LittleBigPlanet meets inFamous?

LittleBiginFamousPlanet 2...I like the ring of that.

No matter what you can create you'll still never be able to make Cole's re-redesign look good.

Really awesome.

I actually haven't played the first (got a PS3 a while after the game came out) but I might have to get this one.

Actually, you have to get the first one as well.

It's sort of required if you're even remotely interested in this one (since it's one of the best game I've ever played)

Damn, talk about a huge secret. Certainly better than yet another tacked on multiplayer mode.

I was already going to buy this game, but now I'm almost looking forward to the craziness that the community will create as much as the actual campaign.

Finally someone gets what has separated PC gamers from console gamers since DOOM. Console games are controlled experiences. PC games have an extended and beautiful life as hobbyists craft or refine experiences. This is legitimately exciting, and though I don't have a PS3 and have never played inFamous, I'd love to give it a shot.

The only thing I can say that I am bummed about so far with this game is I am not crazy about the new voice actor for Cole. Other than that, I am super stoked for this game. I need to try and finish my second play through on hard before this one comes out.

I'm playing through the first again right now...

I REALLY REALLY hope they don't bring back the shard hunting or the damn surveillance missions in this one. What a boring waste of time.

Also it's such a bummer you couldn't "glide" until hours into the game.

Hmm, I wasn't all that fond of the first game and was likely going to pass this one up this time around but a feature like this needs to be rewarded with a purchase whether I actually play it or not!!

@kgoo867

from what i can tell Forge is still better for level geometry design given how you can float and merge any piece, but it lacks the AI enemies that this system has. having AI enemies opens up a whole new category of user-generated content.

all these user-generated content systems are simply awesome. The things i've seen done with Forge are simply awesome (grifball, rocket race, jenga, and a skeeball game that actually keeps score). i don't have a ps3, but i know people will love this system.

These are truly awesome news. It's great to see consoles embracing user generated content, it's about time.

I would love to see in the future, maybe as a DLC, ways to create new areas - whether they're expansions of the main city, or stand-alone maps, or something else.

"Before you start envisioning a game world filled with markers -- like I did! -- there's going to be a system in place for filtering them all."

After watching that part in the trailer with all the green nodes, I was like "are they serious!? That's so stupid!" So yay for filters.

I've never owned or played the first game. When I heard a sequel was coming out, I began to track it on Gamespot since the premise did at least intrigue me. For whatever reason, news of user-made content like this has given this game a huge boost in brownie points. I'm especially excited to see what the diehard inFamous fans/veterans will create when they get their hands on this.

Sadly how a big AAA game with a new shocking feature that is not very common on this type of games, only got 38 comments until now =(. If this was something related to Call Of Duty, easily could get 100+ comments.

Its only shows how this industry is now in a black hole where only FPS, namely Call Of Duty or Halo have a place.
