The game has been released for a while, I would've expected a sequel by now. Then again, this game doesn't really need anything except a campaign.

@The Scout Doesn't even need that in my opinion. I just wanna blow some shit up in space, I don't need an excuse in the form of some bullshit sweeping galactic saga.

Wait a second, the next Sins will not be free-to-play? What do they mean by this? Multiplayer will require a subscription? It better not mean single player will, too. I was pretty proud of them for releasing the first Sins with no DRM, if the second one is DRM'ed up the butt and also requires a fee to play, I will just go to the grave clutching my Sins 1.

@sigma8

No, it means that Stardock (the publisher/developer) is releasing tools to setup free to play microtransactions, similar to that in TF2 or League of Legends, for developers to use on their Impulse application (similar to Steam). Title is kinda wonky like that.

More Sins is definately a good thing, but I'd really like a single player campaign.

I'm still waiting for someone do a spiritual successor to Homeworld. That game had it all as far as I'm concerned - deep, but not too deep, strategy, awesome action and an epic storyline. And the music, oh boy, after Civ4's "Baba Yeti", HW score is my favourite piece of game music.

@2late2die You need to stay in more. Homeworld's soundtrack was decent, but there are lots of better ones.

It had only one really memorable track ("Agnus Dei") and it was just a choral version of a song from around 1940 and has been used in dozens of movies and TV shows, from Platoon to The Simpsons.

Story was very good though. If you want something with a similar kind of gameplay you might try "Nexus: The Jupiter Incident", which has the same sort of small fleet focus and fairly deep strategic gameplay. It's got about the same learning curve though.

Whoever owns that ship is severely overcompensating for something.
