i know this feeling all to well, i have a MacBook Pro and gaming on it goes as far as the same Source games i have played over and over on my other systems already. I wish games like BF3 and newer titles had Mac compatibility so i can at least get my game on on this machine. Won't hold my breath though

@PR0F3TA I too consider myself a Macbook Pro Gamer... and the whole problem behind games on the OS X platform is that Apple just isn't getting behind it enough. They obviously don't want to target gamers, which is stupid of them, because they're powerful machines and should be advertised to all audiences as such.

It's all about their graphic drivers. While on Windows you can download and update drivers for card through Nvidia/ATi directly, everything has to go through APPLE on OS X. It's sad when you have to wait months for an update from Apple just to play Starcraft 2 or TF2 properly. Even then, games run almost twice as well on my Windows7 partition (best thing I could ever do for gaming -- made a small 30GB partition and then installed all my games on a portable hard drive).

Thankfully we have people like Wolfire that is providing AWESOME casual-esque games for the Mac... I'm really happy about the collection of indie titles that have been compiled on my MBP, that I can pop up during class to goof off on without booting to Windows7. Still, if you want hardcore PC gaming on a Mac, you'll have to suffer that loss hard drive space for a proper gaming platform. I think it's worth it though... playing Dead Space 2 on my Macbook Pro never looked more beautiful.

As an avid Linux user I can't say anything else than that I really love these guys.

I haven't bought either of the bundles since I don't really enjoy gaming on my computer, but every time I hear something about them I think more and more about purchasing them for no other reason than to show my support.

I didn't purchase the first Humble Bundle, but when I bought the second one, I was pleasantly surprised to get a Steam key for both bundles! Its this kind of customer satisfaction that will keep me coming back, donating as much as I can afford.

(Plus I get both the Mac and Windows version!)

Yup, I missed out on the first bundle.

Didn't see any games I wanted in the second bundle. Then they did the "if you buy this bundle, you get the first bundle, free!", and I missed it.

Then the whole "If you bought these games, we'll give you Steam keys for all of them." Pissed me off. If they do a third bundle, if there is the slightest inkling they will do a bundle 1 and 2 for free, I am going for it.

@wealthyman2

Being proud of only donating one cent and bragging about it is a hundred times more annoying than just donating that much and keeping it yourself.

Cue cookie response saying you're actually rich, have a girlfriend, get a lot of action and are not smelly and is not physically unattractive.

"a particular user purchased 1,000 bundles -- at a penny each, possibly with the intention of profiting from re-sales"
But it's digital and has no DRM. He could just download it once, so I guess that was simply a cool way to pay ten dollars

@Unvrfd If he's going to resell them, then he needs to have the ownership of one thousand copies. Making a thousand copies of one purchase is copyright infringement and could land him in court. Most people tend to look down on for-profit piracy.

Now the question I'm still asking is, are they going to actually fix the Steam keys? I bought the first pack last year before the keys, and switched to a Steam key this year. As such, I still don't have 2 of the games (Cortex Command, and Revenge of the Titans) months later, when they were supposed to be added to my account. And since I used the Steam key, I can't download them outright for some stupid reason.

Cortex Command is still in beta - not complete. That'd be why it's not on Steam. Not sure about Revenge of the Titans though... =(

I'm going to be an ass, but can't they just put a minimum price of like $5-$10? More money for the charities and avoids the one cent a-holes.

@thisredengine Yeah, you're right. In World of Goo's original "pay what you want" promotion, they had 30% of their buyers pay 1 cent. They also said that payments less than 30 cents end up going entirely to PayPal. So, a lot of people ended up paying money to PayPal and none of their money went to the developers or the charities.

A minimum of even a dollar would be in improvement.

@thisredengine It's not really pay what you want if you set a minimum. Considering that those charts show that the average was well above $5 over all, it's better to simply leave it at any price you want to get more people then to potentially turn off customers by setting a minimum.

@Covnam Isn't one cent a minimum? I'm being a little tongue in cheek, but shouldn't "pay what you want" include paying nothing?
