I'd be curious to know what game released to create a 50% uptick in 360 sales. Child of Eden hasn't released in japan yet has it?

Makes no sense considering it's a PS3 360 game. So they'd play it on PS3.

Could just go to Kinkos or use their home printers and print out the 360 boxart. It's what I'm doing.

I was checking VG Chartz for something else, but it looks like The Idolmaster 2 released for 360. It sold almost 35,500 units so maybe that's what did it.

@Jack Kevorkian For future reference, all you have to do is click the source link. You'll see what game for what platform brought about the sales increase, in this case the highest Xbox 360 game is coming in at number 10 - which would be, as DCGX mentioned, THE iDOLM@STER 2.

Are you against the 3DS or something like that? It's going to be up there until the others release a new console.

It's a Nintendo machine.
It's new.
It's 3D.

Welcome to the new king of the charts for the foreseeable future.

They had at least 400,000 systems made for the area. They might be sold out almost everywhere, but there's probably still a few rare systems left that haven't been snagged by importer/exporters.

I'll buy it once the hacking community has returned the basic functionality all handhelds should have, which is the ability to play imported games. It's doubly necessary since Nintendo's release schedules are completely effed up. hurrrr wait six months for Brawl because we're dicks and it fits our marketing strategy! No, Nintendo, it's time to wake up and realize that we're in the Internet age. If smaller developers can release games with more text and dialogue worldwide at almost the same time, then you should be able to release a damn fighting game within something even resembling an acceptable time period.

Meanwhile, people are rewarding Nintendo for screwing the standard functionality. Sigh... I'd say this is about the same thing as paying for day-one DLC. People without standards screwing up the industry by lowering the standards for everyone.

I don't see how day-one DLC buyers are screwing things up for you. You don't need to purchase it if you don't want to. And I doubt you know the story behind every piece of day-one DLC out there; maybe many of them really were honest-to-goodness last minute things that didn't make it into the final cut.

@SuperStition

Because games are getting stripped of things and short-sighted people justify it with excuses like "you don't have to purchase it if you don't want it". Games used to contain extra costumes and bonus things. Now those are getting taken out of the game and sold for extra money. And the more idiots keep falling for it, the more widespread it gets. Just look at how EA treats Dragon Age and Mass Effect, and how common in-game pre-order bonuses are. They're advertising it months before the damn game comes out.

"but hurr they're just weapons! they won't change anything!"

Yeah, except not. Rockstar is now using entire missions as pre-order bonuses. And you can't get all of them without pre-ordering it multiple times.

And even IF they are weapons, so what? Many weapons to choose from is the effing standard. How do you even decide what "matters"? It would be absolutely idiotic to claim that the many bonus features and options aren't part of the whole package. You can technically beat a game with only a pistol, so surely that means it's perfectly ok to force you to pay extra for all the other weapons, right? That's where this is leading, but since you're a frog in boiling water, you keep defending that publishers are giving you less despite charging more, even for the base package.

If they were last minute things that didn't make the final cut, they wouldn't be advertised long before that. Or they would be free, with new paid content further down the road.
