The PS3 version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters supports the PlayStation Move, though the functionality is greatly improved over last year. EA has not only improved the sensitivity of the swing itself, but added in the first-person True-Aim system seen in last year's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 on the Wii.
Now, because my review focuses so much on the caddy (and because the PlayStation Move arrived very late from Sony), Move didn't make it in before deadline. However, that added time to mess around with the mechanic has proven to me that the PS3 version is far more sensitive to slight swing variations and wrist movement, which makes the learning curve a bit steeper.
Still, after only an hour, my proficiency increased. And because the Move is so sensitive, it was a lot easier for me to gauge how much power I was putting into a swing compared to using an analog stick.
Combined with the graphical fidelity of the PS3 version, I can say without a doubt that PlayStation Move makes Tiger Woods on the PS3 the preferred version.

Using move improves the experience. If you don't like it simply don't use it.

@Co its not just the hd video which is nice its the fact that it is as close to real golf as ive ever played, I would totally rather have better graphics and better gameplay over more courses. have you played it?

Sweet! I was hoping for this to be the definitive version. I bought some of the older ones for wii and found them way too inaccurate to be fun. Then they cam out with the Wii motion plus and that helped but only a little and power seemed to be calculated randomly. This seems like the game I was hoping for all those years ago and can't wait to try it.

I have 2011, I found the controls with the move to be lacking. Here's hoping it works better.
I hope too they cut back the amount of time it takes to scan your face using the camera, I think it's 20 minutes of waiting around just to get your face in the game.

Will they have the fabled Hoe Chaser mode as DLC?

Glad to hear the game works well enough with the PS Move controller. I'm still(unsuccessfully)trying to make my way through KILLZONE3 with the Sharpshooter attachment.
I did play TIGER'09 on the Wii and enjoyed the hell out of it until the servers were taken down, so this'll end up being the replacement game(and a nice father's day gift for my dad, haha).
I definitely want to see it actually improves my iRL golf skill(or lack thereof)since it's seemingly so precise. I couldn't drive the ball in the demo for crap, but the putting was slick. But I blamed lack of full gameplay available and practice...

Preffered version??? Damn I bought the 360 version because Game Informer said the PS3 version was choppy when using the move and it can effect the gameplay!
So who's right?

So if someone bought this for the move can they send me a reply and verify if there is a problem with the game being choppy? It really is a deal breaker for me. Thanks

Does Tiger 12 have Disc Golf? And is the Move Support solid for that as well? They're my favorite part of Wii Sports Resort and Sports Champions, but I always want more... and the Tiger Woods one for Motion Plus was pretty horrible

Move has nothing to do with TW12 being the superior choice on the PS3. It is the 5 courses in the CE that does. You know how much they charge for those DLC courses!

Tiger Woods 12 paired up with the move! Probably my favorite motion game ever. honestly this show what the move is capable of... I think it is even more capable but people expect it to be badass right off the bat. The wii does have a lot more games that are a quirky type of fun and if you want a serious game on the wii get ready to get seriously pissed when you cant get the controller to do what you want it too. The move has been in the dark ever since i bought it when it came out. Games are starting to use its functionality and tw12 is by far my favorite. My favorite games for the wii were excite truck and raving rabbids which are pretty good games but I like golf a lot and the wii just doesnt cut it. Whoever says the move is innacurate when it comes to thius years tw, its either cuz u heard it was innacurate and you just want to rant about how another system sucks or you just cant get your swing down right. look up some golfing tips and youll have a great time. Im playing on tour pro with normal a i and ive only had the game for less than a week. I never played the 2011 but I can tell you this one is a keeper.

@rcantrell9 The move controls in this game are bad, bad, BAD. I really don't believe you know what you are talking about.

This has got to be the worse game I have ever played with the move controller, and the worse golf game I have played period. I have it on Wii and got the ps3 version for the HD experince hoping for the same game looking alot nicer. I must say I am very dissapointed, Tiger woods 12 on the wii with the motion plus support is a much more smother and easier to navigate. I can draw or fade with the flick of a wrist. Using the d-pad to select where to aim on wii is brilliant, PSMove trying to aim your shot is a joke. Such a Backwards step from Wii version it makes me want to cry. Would love to hear any comments from anyone that has played both, (and I'm not talking about previous wii versions, Im talking about masters with the Wii motion plus, and the Vertical True View option.)

and just to follow upon my previous statement, I'm a casual golfer, I usually shot between 90 and 100 in real life, so I am not great, My best score around Augusta on wii is 87, thats on all the hardest difficulty and black tees, and enjoyed the experince immensly, same settings on PS3 with the Move, Scored 58, first time playing it, chipped in too many times, Massive Putts Just seemed to drop, while close putts were hurtled off the green. I have had about 4 chip ins on the wii, ever, and played it a heap. I got more than that around 18 holes on PS3. Makes it feel like you've accomplished something when it happens on the wii. Sure my score was a lot better on PS3 but had nowhere near as much fun. Didn't really feel as though It was me hitting the ball most of the time. TW12 for PS3 should die. I'm not even going to take it back for a refund, I'm Gunna stick the disc under the back wheel of my car and do the biggest burnout on it. Because, Man, If I can stop one poor fool from being able to play it, I feel as though I help the world at little.
