That whole "Is Mulder dead? Is Mulder alive?" got old, real quick.
I mean, he left the show because 1. (Supposedly) he wanted more money, 2. He was (supposedly) afraid of getting typecast. But he showed up on the damn thing over and over again as a "hint". So if he's there as an illusion, or a hallucination, or a clone/copy/alien whatever, he's still on the show, right? He's just not headlining it at the time.

Afterwards, it became a huge mess. Not as if it wasn't quite messy before, but this new mess was hard to care about.

The X-Files are pretty much responsible for my keen interest in TV, some good memories. I haven't watched the show in ages but I imagine that most of it hasn't aged well.
