First real and fake BurgerTime HD trailers

MonkeyPaw Games is going back to the kitchen to create a new serving of BurgerTime -- which is a good idea, considering the original burgers are now 29 years old, and that's disgusting. For those of you interested in sampling BurgerTime HD's new recipe, you'll find a trailer after the break.

Also after the break is MonkeyPaw's heartbreaking April Fools' Day joke, a trailer for the "Delicious Edition" DLC, which replaces Peter Pepper with Burger King's eponymous, creepy monarch. It was a joke, but ... we would have been totally into playing as the King. So much so that we would have walked into a Burger King and purchased Burger King food to make that happen. We were willing to go that far.

That's exactly how I remember BurgerTime.

You would actually eat burger king food? Man you really wanted the King in the game!

I have a feeling this is a real promotion, that will eventually make it's way to the game.

They'd probably sell more if this was a $4 game you buy from BK. I'd be all over it. As it stands though there probably going to drop it for 1200msp and enjoy mediocre sales.

Burger King needs to bring back their cheesy tots. Cheese + Potato = win. Although, the last thing I need is a reason to eat at BK, so perhaps it's for the best.

I was going to come in here and make a sarcastic comment regarding the unedible nature of Burger King's food, but I see that's already been addressed a couple of times. Carry on.

This is so weird to see! While I am nowhere near old enough to have played Burgertime, I know it because my dad would mention how it was the only video game he ever got into - Burgertime for the Intellivision. This new version seems way too complex for my dad to play though....

Look, I loved Burgertime back in the day, so slap a $10 price tag on this and I'm down. Put a $15 price tag on it and you can forget it.

When not sneaking, bumpin', boxing, or pocketbike racing, the King apparently enjoys making burgers.

He was unlockable in Fight Night Round 3 (as a trainer). As a result, your fighter would gain 500 lbs -- due to mass consumption of burgers. True story.

Is it still going to be called Burgertime HD in the Wii release? If so, isn't that false advertisement?

@RasenganFury Well not necessarily, HD can stand for any number of things. Like Hamburger Demon or Hot Dog...

Actually that's an interesting point. I wonder if they'll drop the HD for the wii release or keep it since it's the name of the official game, and they'll claim not to want to cause confusion to the 18 people who buy it on the Wii.

This article reminded me of that episode of metalocalypse.

Pretty sure that's Peter's son in the iPhone version. I skipped the plot scenes.

I loved BurgerTime on NES, but I'm on the fence about this reboot. Could just be me, but the screen seems too busy with all the colors and extraneous objects floating around.
