A new Phineas and Ferb game is headed to the Wii, PS3 and DS later this summer courtesy of Disney Interactive Studios. Based on the Disney cartoon -- specifically an upcoming original movie -- Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension will feature the TV voice talent of the principal characters, including Phineas and Ferb.
The PS3 and Wii versions include ten playable characters and two-player cooperative play. The PS3 version also features PlayStation Move compatibility. All versions of the game also include a secret agent platypus, making this probably the coolest sentence we've ever written.

I might be wrong, but isn't this one of the first games (if not the first one) that have Wii/PS3 exclusivity due to their similar motion control solutions?

The show seems to be quite good. My nice and nephew were over for a bit a little while ago and started watching this show, and I was quickly enamored. It's got a lot going for it, that's for sure.
Those kids have a Wii, so this would make a nice "here ya go, from the fun Uncle" present.

I came all the way down to this here comments section to ask, who was this article directed at? Apparently, everyone but me. I have no unconditional love for this show, and I didn't know anyone else over 20 did either. Is the Joystiq reader audience populated solely by 13-year-olds?

I'm 34 and I think Phineas and Ferb is awesome. I watch it with my 6 year old all the time, and I'm pretty sure I enjoy it more than she does. It's a show that you have to either be A) a child or B) intelligent to enjoy.

In an age of bad cartoons, it seems like this, Ben 10, and Johnny Test are the only ones worth watching. Glad to see this is getting a video game, ESPECIALLY featuring an armed platypus.

My niece and nephew have had me sit through this show with them...and it's pretty good. I was amazed at how quick and witty it actually was. I lucked out, because I would have hated to sit with these kids ten years ago and have to sit through the watered-down Japanese anime dreck that was trending in the early 00's.

I hate to be the one to say this, seeing as I absolutely love Phineas and Ferb (I have a Perry the platypus alarm clock, and it's the best $30 I've ever spent), but why is this being posted here? This isn't the first Phineas and Ferb game to be made, so why is this one in particular being highlighted?
I mean, don't get me wrong here, if the game turns out to be awesome (which is what I'm very much hoping for), I wouldn't think twice about dropping my beloved cash on it, but it seems just like any other Disney movie-based game to me.

Love the show and was hoping that the last sentence in the article meant that it came with a stuffed doll version of Perry the Platypus. :(
Read the description in the press release and it kind of sounds like Ratchet & Clank in a sense, but I doubt that it'll be any good.

I don't like this show based on its own merits. Thwe writing is repetitive and frankly not that funny. They should make an Adventure Time game instead.
Posted: Apr 5th 2011 6:43PM BonUs said
@(Unverified) While I agree that the world is not yet complete without an Adventure Time game, I disagree wholeheartedly with your opinions about Phineas and Ferb. I think it's the right kind of show for the right kind of people, and that it is a very clever throwback to the mischievous yet well-meaning protagonists of older cartoons. Also, the music is too awesome for words.

...It's on PS3. You know, I thought Sony and Microsoft were pretty strict about quality control this generation, which was why we've seen fewer licensed crappers on 360 and PS3 and Nintendo's more lax policies are why they've all migrated to Wii.

I'm seriously bummed there won't be a 360 version, this would e perfect for my family and it sucks that a family game excludes a major platform.

First off, Huge fan of the show, convinced coworkers to watch it and has been some of our "watercooler" discusions. Second off, has anyone else noticed the "only for playstation" moniker on box cover. I was hoping this was the real one, but it must be one joystiq made up.
