@Stevetrop Man of Mystery I don't know how they could even begin to think otherwise. If it were Xbox Live it would make more sense being subscription based, but man, PSN is free! They're barely hurting their profits or anything like that, they're just making it awful for the people they're trying to "protect" from Sony's "injustices".

And no, doing this to XBL would not effect Microsoft because you aren't being charged persistently and they don't give refunds of any kind. Maybe, and that's a big maybe, they'd give 10% of the monthly charge from a person back if this lasted for weeks, but they would have to keep this up for months to have that kind of effect.

A couple years back, a lot of people were experiencing pretty bad lag on their Xbox's around Christmas time. Not so bad that you couldn't connect to Live, but bad none-the-less. They got it fixed pretty promptly and a month later they gave everyone Undertow for free (a $10 game) along with an apology. Say what you will about Microsoft, but I thought they handled it pretty well.

I think you're a little misguided there, what the blacks were protesting against was racism, a disgusting plague that we'd be glad to get rid of, what they did, everyone but racists could agree with, they weren't disrupting anyone.

This on the other hand is pissing more people off then it is benefiting, the hackers are pretending to support George but using it as an opportunity to disrupt people's enjoyment and business. @TheDarkWayne Sony brought this upon themselves. As you said, PSN is free so are the users able to complain? (besides the Plus members). While as a gamer, I don't condone what anon is doing. Although as a consumer, I see the EULA is almost turning into a lease agreement. No doubt that the hackers should had been more concealing in their activities to avoid this producer/user legality circlejerk. This cat and mouse game is redundant, Sony is essentially just feeding the trolls. They should just drop the lawsuit, waste the resources developing strong security and innovative implementation rather than fighting bad PR. Whiteout my comment if you wish, but at the least realize Sony cannot make an example out of these people/customers. They might have taken down lik-sang but I wonder how many others took its place? Same will happen in this case.

And let George demonstrate that it's not only okay to share security information over the internet, but it's also not wise to sue individuals for fear that they might get thier website hacking buddies to illegally disrupt business practices? And that makes much more sense then what Sony is doing because...? I agree that Sony shouldn't bother wasting time with a rat like George, but nevertheless, people need to realise that Sony isn't against you doing what you want with your console, its the distribution of that information to other parties that the problem arises.

And this arguement that PSN being free gives us less right to complain is bullshit as far as I'm concerned, whenever I hear that I think of a Xbox fanboy delighted that this is happening to proove that paying for Live pays off when this could just as easily happen to Live if hackers wanted to make it happen, It has nothing to do with whether PSN is free or not, I paid for MY console, I paid for MY game, I am therefore entitled to play that game online on MY console, internet of which "I" pay for. I have every right to complain about fools disrupting it.

Goodness. Much anger you have. The fact of the matter is SONY has backed out of and watered down the PS3 to no more then a game console with a bluray player. Remeber the new cool controller we were to get? Nope. We got a wireless DUAL SHOCK 2 with lame ass motion control ability. Then they took away BC then linux support. No built in card reader and stripped down the usb ports. Going slimmer and smaller is natural in electronics. But what new features have they added?
Home? Now that is a real joke in itself. The PSN? Yeah ok...CORE?
Nada. They have taken away what they promised. They deserve more then random attacks. They deserve a class action law suit for breach of public contract and conduct unfitting to a Corporation of their sature. (no matter how small their stature has become)
Most Game consoles add features and services. But not Sony, They just take away. For what a lower price? If you consider what they took away from us, it should be no more then $199.00 us.

Give us a network as good as LIVE(which it should already be, since SONY said when the NEXT GENERATION started) and then put linux support back and all would be good.

Maybe it's just your lack of braincells disallowing you to think of complexed things to do with your PS3 since Linux was removed. I'm pretty sure "game consoles" were made purely for "gaming" anyway, so I don't see how that arguement bares any logic, considering the fact that you should see the blu-ray and anything else as a bonus. Secondly, Sony removed that controller ages ago because people moaned before it even came out, stop bringing up old news. If you did some research, you'd realise that BC emulation was both expensive and unjustified, which is why they removed it, if you want to play PS2 games, get a PS2, they are dirt cheap, you have no excuse. Thirdly, Linux was removed because it was unnecessary to anyone but hackers who in turn punched Sony in the face by using it to exploit the system's secuity and play crappy homebrew, to which Sony punched them back in the face by taking it away. That's what you get for being nice to people. Fourth, who needed all those USB ports? If you need them that badly, buy an older model PS3, duh! You can get BC on those as well if you care about it that much. Fifth, Home is fun for some people and not for others, no one is forcing you to have it and PSN addresses the online network that PS was missing.

As for the rest of what you wrote, pure fanboy babble, like a baby comparing his rattle to another baby's, I don't give a monkies what you think about Live and your TV, what you would like to stick up your nostrils, or what socks you wear in the mornings. I would have thought that with your head so far up George's backside, you'd be able to see shit clearly, obviously not.

We've all matured now you see and grown up and realised that getting all consoles is a way to enjoy all aspects of gaming.
