As a huge UFC fan, I'll probably pick it up. Interested in find out more.

This could either be pretty good or a train wreck.

Anything other than having a real life trainer/teacher can't be a credible way to learn martial arts.

@AMonkey - It's hard to really say at this point since there's very little info but I think this is more of just a general fitness game with UFC branding... I don't think it's meant to teach you MMA.

Maybe not, but having a full time job and a 2 year old child, I've never had the time or money to join a dojo. For someone like me who has always been interested in martial arts this is a great alternative. Here's hoping the motion detection is spot on.

I'm excited for this. When I bought a Kinect, this is the type of game I hoped would be made. Now we just need a game like Crossed Blades or Infinity Blade for Kinect.

One more fitness game for Kinect. Still waiting for someone to combine Kinect with controller for a real game. Serioulsy, what the eff?

@xreadmore Ugh, you think most gamers would be up for that? *Sit and move you character* BATTLE! *get up and flail around for 10 minutes!* BATTLE OVER *Sit back Down* BATTLE AGAIN! GET UP!

I'm not the most out of shape person on earth, but that doesn't sound appealing. It's not like the Wii where you could use the motion control from the couch.

You've got it all wrong. He's talking about small gestures like throwing your arm to toss a grenade, head tracking to peak around corners or for driving games, using your hands for squad commands, or using the mic for voice commands, for example.

Thank god you aren't developing games.

" head tracking to peak around corners"

This gets mentioned alot, and i just dont get it. Wouldn't the player in essence be taking their eyes off of the TV screen to perform this action?

@Co

Can't you just move your head and keep your eyes focused in the same spot? I'm staring at my monitor right now and leaning left and right and don't see why there would be an issue.

I just realized how stupid I must look right now as I'm bobbing and weaving around in my chair, haha.

I'm pretty sure the next Forza has slight head turning tracking to pan the camera into turns you're taking.

This along with the more gimmicky "explore the vehicle" feature that uses Kinect.

Looks like an exercise game that is a little more manly than Your Shape. I'm cool with that.

Thanks, that's exactly what I mean. Just subtle things for Kinect owners. Leaning, ducking to cover, that sort of thing. No one wants to be flailing around on the couch so just small things to add a little immersion into the games. Would be cool if like I'm playing a FPS and I can give squad command with hand gestures.
Another example for online multiplayer would be gestures to tell teammates where enemies are or if all is clear. Like I could scout ahead in stealth mode and hold my hand out to indicate I have spotted enemies, then I could flash on the radar. Most often i have everyone muted (thanks to the regular jerks online) so some in-game team talk would be cool.

Even a hand gesture as a shortcut to a menu would be something!

I don't think a game should have to be all kinect or no kinect at all.

If you were thinking of more than the genre of Kinect sports, then you must've been lied to by someone. There will hardly be a plethora of hard core games on motion controlled tech for now. The UFC game are the kinds of games they advertised to the public all along.

I'm not really interested in this, but the "Voice Command Navigation" sounds interesting. I've always wondered why, when the Kinect is very capable of interpreting voice commands, that this feature hasn't been more widely used in-game to at least select from a few options on-screen. Some of the menus in Kinect games are rather awkward and slow to use. Why can't I just say what option I want?

Be patient, thats the problem with gamers. Never pick up new tech if you expect an explosion of games. I am sure MS will have quite a number of Kinect games to show off at E3.
