Now, you see, this video has me a little peeved at Relic. When I saw the first teaser of this badboy it was nnonymous helmeted Space Marine*S*. So he could specialise and be whatever he wanted and there could be lots of them.
Now he's a named officer and seems to be switching between all sorts. And any team mates he may have will switch in and out as story based characters, as they do in Gears of War. Meaning 2 player co-op max?
The reason this peeves me is because I thought this game was going to be more a long the lines of a 3rd person Left 4 Dead/Castle Crashers type affair with RPG elements, or perhaps Too Human....but you know, not utterly shit.
Will make things a bit harder to go along those multiplayer co-op lines if everyone is running around as the same grizzly chump, or his grizzly chump sidekick as and when he's around and not eventually betraying them to Chaos and/or the Orks.
May my fears be wild speculation and utterly unfounded.

@UnreadyCrab you thought it was going to be like Castle Crashers or Left 4 Dead? Have you read anything about the game before this? Because even the very earliest, pre-official announcement footage had nothing of that sort.

This footage makes it seem more like a solo experience that will tag on co-op ala Gears of War, not one that will be built around it as I was hoping like L4D/Castle Crashers. People need to stop taking things entirely literally. I was not hoping this would be a 2D cartoon style zombie game set in the WH:40k universe.

All that armor, and all it takes is a simple headshot. How about a helmet for these Space marines?
Game looks pretty good to me, hopefully it turns out to be a lot of fun. All it's doing right now is making me antsy for the 40K MMO coming out, and I hope they don't screw that one up!

In 40k they are Orks. However anything WH related Joystiq always gets wrong. Like did you know in Retribution they were going to add the Tryanids!? Neither did I untill Joystiq reported it.

They're Gretchins. I know this for a fact! Orks are my WH40k and WH fantasy race for the table top.

I hope this game doesn't stomp too hard on any Warhammer fans' hopes and dreams, because abrupt genre-shifts sometimes do that. I'm no Warhammer buff myself, but this does look like a fun game. I'm hoping I won't be disappointed.
