But does it require GFWL?
If so, i am not buying it. After 2 hours of trying to get bioshock to work, Only for it to freeze once i had been playing for a while. All because of GFWL.

POS.

@Brando Calrissian Seems that this game has a little problem with some quad procs, so maybe this is affecting you as well. My friend tried on his i7 and he said it was horrible to play... enough for him to avoid this promotion...

@lazurus isn't it funny how that works? Every time they have one of these crazy sales, I end up getting the game, just because it's too good a deal to pass up. I figure I'll eventually play the game, but I usually don't. I think at this point I'm just trying to see how big I can get my Steam folder to be. It's pretty close to being over 400GB right now.

@lazurus i have a confession to make. When Steam first started it hated it right away because it was going against GFWL. But once I learned about Steam and all the wonderful toys it had, I couldn't help but just on board. SO I spent about 200 dollars back in Dec. 2009 and over a 100 in Dec 2010. And the dollarz will keep coming out of my account. Man I LOVE BEING A TUR... GAMER!

Great service for anyone looking to get into PC gaming though. They say it's prohibitively expensive, but imagine being able to play all those games for the first time for a couple of bucks each.

Morederlands!
Even MOREderlands!
Fourderlands
Borderland5

And, finally, Borderlands. It'll be a reboot.

Really wanted to like this game, but it just wasn't for me. $7.50 for that much content, however, is pretty much impossible to ignore.

It's definitely more fun co-op but as Jack Kevorkian said, it really is one of those games this generation that you should experience, at least for a little while. At this price there's just no reason not to. Also, if for no other reason than being prepared for the next Borderlands project, whatever it may be. There's a lot of fun characters and in-game humor that I'm sure will transfer over to whatever they do next with the BL world. "Getting" whatever those nods end up being (or more obvious things like returning characters) will probably make it much more fun since that stuff was such a pillar in this first game and all the DLC.

I'd offer to play with but I play it on the 360.

It should be mentioned as well, if you buy the GOTY edition, you get a code to gain early access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo.

i just got this game for my Mac after a month of so debating wether to get it or not. i paid 40 bucks for the GOTY edition and it has been worth every penny. The game is pretty addicting, i love the combat, all the awesome weapons (even though they are the same 4-5 weapons, reskined)... for 7.50 you really have no choice then to go for it.

and it runs exceptionally well on a MacBook Pro

No, it was ported over by a company called FERAL i think. It runs on Intel based 10.6 OSX. It was pretty choppy before but they updated it (1.01) and now all the issues have been worked out...

you can buy the game in the Mac App Store, if you dont have it you can always buy the game and make sure it has the Mac compatible sign in the front.

@Colin Actually not trolling. That's what the game equates to. They advertised something and fell several miles short and ended up delivering a product that most people already have. Heaven forbid someone realize what they'd done.

Do most people have Unreal Tournament with the RPG mod installed? I don't own that game. I've never even heard of that mod. It doesn't show up on the first page of results on Google. Did the mod also add cel-shaded graphics? Permutable weapons? Post apocalyptic setting?

I'm pretty sure most people didn't have this product.

@Colin Unreal Tournament comes with the RPG mod on the disk, it's an option when you install. The weapons changes are also part of an unreal tournament mod that is also on the disk. So really all they did was cell shade unreal tournament, and make some new maps and re-package it.
It wasn't worth the $50 price when it came out. It wasn't worth the $20 it went on sale for about a hundred times on steam, and hey. It's still not worth $7.50.

Ok, go ahead and try playing it if you want to see your argument fall apart. The only thing the games have in common are that they both have guns.

@Colin Oh, and also they're both Unreal Tournament. You're only defending it because you paid money for a mod. Unreal Tournament had the leveling, the random gun augments, the big levels with vehicles, and even actually did have post-apocalyptic settings for several maps. You're paying for cell-shading, which is actually an eye-sore in FPS games.
