Amazon is currently offering a "select game" for 50 percent off when you buy a Kinect sensor. Yes, the word "select" should scare you a bit. The selection the online retailer is offering up features a couple solid workout games, but the rest is the C-team of Kinect titles.
Your choices include Your Shape Fitness Evolved and The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout, along with Dance Central wannabes Dance Paradise and Dance Masters. And then we get to Fighters Uncaged and Fantastic Pets, the latter of which features a creepy, smiling horse on its cover. Nayyyyyy, nay we say.

Yeah, I've had the most fun with the pack in, and there are enough demos on XBL to help you kill some time until some real games trickle out...kind of like the 3DS's AR Games and Mii Plaza BS.

@PR0F3TA Michael Jackson Experience...we play the hell out of that game. Also Yoostar looks good. You get placed in famous movie scenes (no green screen required because the game uses kinect's depth information to determine where you are versus where the background is...schway!

This makes Fighters Uncaged $17!
I'm almost exausted thinking about the savings.

If you're looking for a deal on Kinect, hit E-Bay. Microsoft has moved about 10M of these units, and most of them are not seeing regular use.
I bit the bullet last week and had no problem scoring one for under $100, shipping included.

@copa I'd never buy MS hardware used. Too risky even today.

For those new owners of a KINECT... if you decide to use it as an interface for speech to others in multiplayer instead of the(pack-in)headset that came with the X360 console: Turn down your volume. *Please*.

@foxhound And if you are playing a game like Full House Poker, we can all hear you when you explain your hand to your kid.

My girlfriend enjoys some Dance Central every now and then. But other than that my Kinect sits in a lonely, dusty place, not far from my equally neglected Wii.

I bought my Kinect for Dance Central so I can't entirely complain (apart from its trickle of DLC) but I've barely touched it otherwise. This next E3 is going to make or break the Kinect.

@RickGhastly why E3? No one really gives a shit about E3 anymore. San Diego Comic Con is bigger for games than E3 is now.

Is Kinect worth buying?

@GreenLight
Kinda? If you're not interested in Dance Central (which is awesome), it really boils down to whether or not you're into buying something based on its potential. The tech is great; most of the software on the other hand...
