At least they cut out the vocals. I love the song, but still to this day I have no freakin clue what the heck he's saying. The only thing that comes through is when he spells Tenderoni, which... again I have no clue what the heck that is!

I never thought it would be possible for Sega to actually make a game that all Sonic fans would want to buy.
I believe with this one they might prove me wrong, and I couldn't be happier.

Okay. Now take New Sonic out and just make it a classic sonic game. With maybe Tails and Knuckles. And without any cutscenes. Or voice acting. And call him Doctor Robotnick.

I stand firm in my belief that a 2D sonic game will always own a 3D one. I liked Sonic Adventures 2 but based on the characters speed he just plays so much better in a 2D platform. It can have 3D graphics and what not in it but in my eyes he will always be a 2D hedgehog.

They could do the alternate universe versions of Tails and Knuckles for this. Knuckles looked distinctly different in the classic artwork. I'm sure that wouldn't piss off any fans, and it would satisfy SEGA's obsession with having as many furry creatures as possible in Sonic games.
Here's hoping they have both Eggman and Classic Dr. Robotnik in this, as well.

It looks fun. I think Sega may even have learned a thing or two from the fan made re-mix in the sidescrolling style.
I'm eager to see a final product.

Looking great, like a mix of Genesis Sonic and Dreamcast Sonic Adventure. The Dreamcast version of new Sonic is hopefully what they're aiming for, since that's obviously the best one of the 2000s games.

I'm sorry but as a sonic fan of the genesis era I can't accept this. SEGA has already given by favorite character a girls voice, made him lanky so he runs like a weirdo and sold a $50 game in 2006 that was so poor it was no way near ready for shelves. Sonic 4 looked like the right direction but the physics/momentum made it feel like a cheap rushed job not worthy of being a sequel. I'm glad that the younger generation enjoy these new games, but please... SEGA need to stop teasing original sonic fans with this childish crap and create a real platform game where there is no 3D fast paced cut scenes you don't even control or a homing attack that requires no skill whatsoever!

In one day, this has become my most anticipated game of the year. It's like SEGA took all of the good things from gennesis games, mashed them in with the daytime levels from sonic unleashed and colors to make one epic game out of it. It's genius, really.

People are going to hate but I like the modern sonic games and the old ones (admittedly I was introduced properly to the modern ones first ), so I'm very excited for this game/
