Nope. Just Netflix. Even with PSN down, Netflix is still trucking. Yet Hulu Plus is a no go. I was pissed too yesterday, because it forced me watch "The Event" in real time. I hate watching tv on my computer.

Hulu plus is 8 bucks, right?
So is netflix streaming.
It would be nice if the XBL service would offer any of these services INCLUDED in their Gold tier service.

I'm fine, 8 bucks extra a month is nothing. Just eat one less Micky Ds combo a month. I have both Hulu Plus and Netflix. It will be nice not to have any reason to boot my PS3 up anymore.

Also this isn't a rumor that Xbox 360 is getting Hulu Plus. Microsoft already announced the Spring Dashboard Update would include Hulu Plus.

The real rumor story here is that the update is coming April 29th.

The cost of Netflix & the cost of Hulu+ have absolutely nothing to do with the price of Xbox Live. Subscribers to Netflix & Hulu+, who can access both services free through other means beyond their 360, still have to pay for the services themselves. As such, it would make no sense for MS to subsidize the services just because people also use xbox live.

Now, if you want to make an argument that a Gold Subscription shouldn't be required, that's another issue all together.

I couldn't agree more Obie. I already have Netflix, then betweenwork, getting home then gaming, when will I have time to fit in Hulu?

Guess it all dwindles down to preference if you only want one of the services. Do we like Netflix or Hulu? I'm not much of a TV person, so I'm sticking with Netflix.

Can not agree more. I pay $50 already wish Hulu plus was included. But then again they would just charge more. I guess $50 a year to protect my credit card info and have better online service is worth it.

I'm interested in what obstacle prevents them from giving us ordinary Hulu? Let me watch your stupid ads so I can get some shows. Make Hulu plus an option, for sure.

I guess I don't understand why the major networks don't just stream their content all day, commercials and all. Don't let me fast forward, let me pause, but let me have it!

@ungeheier Yes, I also understand that. It is also not an answer to my question. Why can't there be a Hulu app on 360 like the Netflix or ESPN app, or like the Hulu plus app, except that it functions exactly like the Hulu website?

@Anticrawl However, basic Hulu also costs money to implement, which is, of course, why you must watch ads.

You guys are masters of the obvious. Nobody has a good answer then, I take it?

As far as Hulu/Hulu+ goes - My understanding is that is it has to do with the deals that Hulu had to put together to allow for a outside streaming service. They (Hulu) had to create a paid option to stream content beyond the website itself, and allow streaming to other devices and televisions in a nutshell.
Hulu+ is required for them to stream content outside of the website.
It has to do with the the contracts Hulu has, not MS requiring it.

@swooded
To expand on that just a touch - Since there is no web browser on the 360, access to Hulu would be outside of Hulu's agreements for "Free content" with their content providers. Because of this Hulu itself could not allow the 360 to stream content if they wanted to & MS couldn't add a Hulu free app if they wanted to.

There are ways around streaming Hulu, but they require "middle man" programs (such as Playon) that access the content directly from the website without letting Hulu know it's technically being streamed to another device.

Maybe Microsoft was just sitting, holding their finger hovering over the execute button for Hulu...waiting for a good reason to make it live (no pun intended).

PSN's down, so now would be a good time for this. Either way this will definitely be a game changer for both all parties involved (even cable providers).

I got my copy in the mail today. Supposedly, Hulu Plus will be free for a week only to both Gold and Silver members starting the 29th of April.

It also seems like Microsoft will run a deal that week where Silver members can upgrade to Gold for 50% off and receive one additional month for free.
