Iridium Studios' unique role-playing rhythm title Sequence has finally arrived on Xbox Live Indie Games. For the uninitiated, Sequence sees players conducting battle using a DDR-esque four direction input set to the rhythm of tracks from Michael Wade Hamilton and YouTube sensation Ronald Jenkees. On the RPG side, there's a ton of character customization, item crafting, pithy dialogue and also magic and stuff.

I'm just wondering what control scheme works best for this game. Guitar? Pad? Dance mat?
The music is awesome, I'd buy it if I didn't live in Australia where we don't believe in indie games.

Thanks for the tip - it's not available through the xbox menu yet so I wasn't aware.

I would hesitate to call it unique, but it sure does look new and fun. I'll give it a go.
The word hybrid got me thinking about Hybrid. Still not completely sold on it.

It doesn't look that fun. I'll go back to finishing off Blue Dragon.

Um, "pinky swear" "around $3"? It's like watching some kind of super foreign thing of sorts. I've watched Japanese trailers that made more sense. Lord it was bad.

I bought this game a love it. It's akin to what Puzzle Quest did with adding RPG elements to Match 3 puzzles, but instead Sequence blends RPG elements with music/rhythm genre. The writing is snarky and sarcastic in a funny way and the music tracks are soothing. The gameplay itself takes a bit to learn as it can get pretty frantic toggling between the various fields. For $3 it's worth a look, even if just to contribute to indie scene.

When I saw Rhythm/RPG hybrid, I first thought they were finally announcing Age of Conan released on the 360. Seriously though, this looks kind of interesting, although I see an insane amount of arrows dropping down in the video. I might have to check this out.

This is the best indie game out there, and easily better than most of XBLA and (IMO) most retail games. Try the demo. And don't be worried about the insane amount of arrows; there are difficulty settings.
