I'm down for Rayman so long as it isn't another remake of Part 2. I think that cow is milked dry now.

Take note, Sega.

This is how you bring back a classic franchise. I don't see Rayman turning into a goddamned were...man.

Do you?!

I really, super, extra hope this game sells well. Nobody does hand drawn stuff like this anymore in the big studios, and I hope this sells well enough that other publishers see value in something other than normal maps and bazillion polygon nose hairs.

Just conjecture here, but maybe this is why Ubisoft changed RO into a retail game as opposed to keeping it as a downloadable title? From what I remember, Nintendo has some pretty limiting size restrictions for devs to work with (which is why Super Meat Boy never made it to Wii), and I could see the RO crew having trouble getting the game under the limit.

@EatSleepChuck

Maybe, but my guess is that it made sense to ditch the old "10 bucks for a slice" model and go for the "50 bucks for the whole pie" model instead.

Course there's also the "50 bucks for a slice" model, which they might be doing as well. :(

@MatthewBlackwell Because, you know, this game that consists entirely of sprites would really benefit from 3D.

@Megaqwerty

How about a good resolution in general? Layered depth? You can't honestly think this wouldn't be shoddy if it ends up on the DS.

If not 3DS I'll get it for Wii. It's all thanks to them taking this one to retail.

YES! YES! I loved this game the moment I saw it on 2011 E3! It was never confirmed for Wii but my finger were crossed!
Hope this game to be as good as it looks!
