Yurp. Figure I've put these off for long enough. I've heard nothing but good things, especially about the second game, but I've always had other things jump ahead in the queue.

They should totally do one of these for the first two Uncharted games too. I own those already, but I know plenty that don't.

$40 seems like a bit much, considering the first one can be had for like $6 in bargain bins.

good games though

That's what I thought.
I guess the thing is because of that "10 dollars worth of DLC" thing.
Though honestly this would have been much more attractive at a 29.99 price point.

gamestop has:
Resistance 1: $10 used, $20 or so new.
Resistance 2: $20 used, $30 or so new.

Cant really use the used price when saying a bundle isnt worth it.

Because you're comparing the value of a used piece of software and/or to a new one. New is greater than used at the same price point. At any other price point is comes down to the personal preference of the person deciding, and you can't really use that as a basis for an argument.

"I think it's better to save some money buying it used, so therefor the price of this is bad."

You're also neglecting the fact that after this releases it'll be available used too, and then you can accurately compare used-to-used prices of the two to see which is better.

Long story short: Compare used to used and new to new to be objective. Anything else is subjective to the individual.

Exclusive skin! I hate this sh*t. I bought both of those games the day they came out and now for buying them new I don't get anything but people who held out 3 to 5 years gets something special that is crap. I bet it is a Nathan Hale skin which will piss me off even more.

you got to play the game 3 to 5 years before those people too...also, if you're so mad about it, then buy the dlc when it gets released.

Does this mean resistance 1 will finally be getting trophy support? Cause if it is, even though I already have a cheap used copy of Resistance 1, I wouldn't mind picking this up as I haven't played 2.

I can't remember when, but Insomniac said they'd never add trophy support themselves for their games released before trophy support.

Awesome. I've always meant to pick up Resistance (and 2 if I liked the first one), but just kept putting it off. I think this (like the similar Gears of War bundles on 360) might actually make me break down and pick them up.

What happened to the days when a demo was a tool used to get people interested in your game? Remember...you played the demo and decided if you wanted to pre-order the game? Now you pre-order a game to get a demo. So people who were buying the game anyway get the demo. Then you got the buy a specific game you may not even be interested in just to get a demo or beta to another game. Now you have to buy a Movie? A totally different form of media to get a demo. Talk about some ass-backwards bullshit.

@HaVoK308

Mind you, the demos you are referring to are often just early access demos; ones that eventually make it to regular consumers. They did the movie thing with District 9 and GOW3. Plus, if you go out buying movies and ordering games just for the demos, then there's something wrong with you. All they are are optional bonuses.

Or you can pre-order your game, download the demo/beta in question, cancel pre-order... Bingo, the mystery of pre-order demos solved.

Dang, I remember the no trophies days on PS3 games. Those days sucked. Good on Sony for coming a long way since those first months.

Is Resistance 2 worth picking up if I hated the first one? I got it when I first got a PS3 and honestly I thought it was generic garbage. Never bothered finishing it. I heard the second one is much better, should I give it a try?

I only played bits and pieces of the first game, and fully enjoyed the 2nd one having rented it (and not having paid $60 for it). I've heard a lot of people saying R2 is a crappy game but my memories of it as well as the average reveiw score say differently.

Either way, I've always wanted to go through and play them both before R3 so I guess I'll be picking this one up. Seems like a lot of game for $40.

They should put trophy support in the first one. Those would be fun to get. And they should allow me to select "hold" to aim, rather then just toggle aim so I can aim with L1 or L2.
Resistance 1 had the best controller configuration, that was all it was missing.

i'll pass. i picked up the first one about 2 years ago for around $10- and was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was. after i finished it- my friend let me borrow the sequel. i didn't enjoy any of the changes they made and i never even finished it. i'm glad i didn't spend any money on it. sounds like Insomniac have learned a lot from their mistakes in Resistance 2- and i fully expect to enjoy Resistance 3.

Just got a PS3 about a month ago (yes, just a few weeks before the PSN stuff started) so this is just what I need to play catchup on the exclusives. Also, any time I say that I just got a PS3 people come out of the woodwork to recommend Uncharted. Don't worry, I have them both.
