Crysis 2 offers double XP this weekend for ambitious nanosoldiers

Want to jump twice as high, run twice as fast, and shoot bullets that are twice the size of regular bullets? You ... um, can't. But, if you play Crysis 2 multiplayer this weekend, you'll be able to unlock the game's nanomechanical power-ups twice as quickly.

Starting today at 11 a.m. ET and running until Monday, May 30 at 3 a.m. ET, Crysis 2 players will gain double the usual amount of experience for their online skirmishes. We're sure that's an attractive offer for the game's more ambitious players, but given the volatile nature of these power-ups, we ask that everyone boost their characters at a steady, healthy rate. We don't want to deal with a Tetsuo-esque dude-explosion situation over here.

I love this games muiltiplayer. I just wish people would stop explaning to people when describeing it saying o its like Halo. No no its not it does have some ideas like halo you know the suit and all but I always felt the multiplayer was a hyper version of CoD with suits. The only reason my friends don't buy it and I wish they did is they see it more as halo.

Oh good, I feel that it takes way too long to get anywhere with it. I just want to unlock the mode that dosent have nano suits! Why do i have to work so hard for it?

I was looking forward to it too, but was disappointed. On the other hand, "Extraction" is excellent fun!

Such a ghost town, shitty match making, awful lag, and nobody wants to patch it. There's a really good game in there somewhere though. Pretty much just play the 360 version because friends have it.

Next patch we'll get is going to be late June/July along with Sandbox 3 and DX11. Of course, I'm pulling this information out of my ass, so anything can go.

Somehow there was a glitch in my game that caused all of my stats to be returned to zero. I am so mad at Crysis 2 I could just yell and I did as much at the cust support for EA. They did nothing whatsoever nor tell me what happened. I have lost all of my suit module levels as well as all of my skill kills. My rank has stayed the same but all is lost otherwise. I love Crysis 2 but this travesty has made my heart sad. Maybe I can gain some of my stuff back with this double xp.

I should probably dust this off and give multiplayer a shot. All I really did with the game was beat it on Super Soldier and collected the single player specific achievements.

As with all games that have multiplayer I'm assuming by now the servers are more stable, but what I ask you all right now (and is what really steered me away from even trying the mode out) is do people greatly abuse cloak? You know... cloak in a corner playing a waiting game with each other and spray tons of bullets at the poor soul that decloaks first? Because if so I'll just take my pass again. I like the idea of cloak but I'm a firm believer you should still make use of your other abilities to keep it fresh. I could care less if you kicked my butt multiple times as long as you were creative about it.
