in the tabletop game, kill team, you get 1 squad, kitted out how you like upto a point limit (like an A-Team or Dirty Dozen), and take out a load of individual grunts & a leader
opposed to point balanced armies of infantry, bikes tanks etc

GW pushes the Astartes pretty hard because they're the "face" of 40K-- they're too iconic to leave out. It'd be like having an Indiana Jones movie where he doesn't wear the fedora, or a Gundam series without giant robots. The Space Marines are part and parcel of any 40K video game.

That said-- I would LOVE to see a propally Orky vidyagame. Dez grotz at THQ ent gots the skin ta make a game wot shows da troof a da WAAAAAAAAAGH.

In the rpgs, kill teams refer to the Deathwatch chapter. If this is a game about the Deathwatch, beware the hurricane forming in my loins.

Lol upon my first quick read of the title I read it as:

Warhammer 40k team killed in Australia

You know I can't even begin to imagine how a game about Warhammer 40k could be boring. But I think THQ is out to prove me wrong by allowing the Red Faction: Battlegrounds developers make a 40k game.
