Gears of War limited edition Xbox 360 bundle on Sept. 20 for $399; controller for $59.99 on August 11

Sure, you've seen the footage on Gears of War 3, but without an Xbox 360, how are you going to gunsaw dudebeasts in half? Well, with a limited edition branded console, of course! Epic and Microsoft are teaming up to offer not only a special console bundle pack, but also custom, individual controllers -- both of which will be accompanied by download tokens for in-game content.

For $399, you can snag the console bundle (which has special sound effects like the Halo: Reach console), which features a 320gb hard drive, two Gears of War 3-branded wireless controllers, a copy of the game, headset and two pieces of DLC: the Infected Omen Weapon pack, skins for the game's starting weapons (the Lancer, Retro Lancer, Gnasher, Hammerburst and Sawed-Off Shotgun) and the Adam Fenix multiplayer character. This bundle goes on sale September 20.

If you're looking for just a special controller, you can snag one of them for $59.99 starting on August 11 -- which has that new transforming d-pad and the aforementioned in-game content. This looks GREAT! Comes with, really, the ONLY things I wanted from the Special Editions of Gears of War 3, plus a custom console look AND controller look as well! Will be selling my console come September and picking this up. Thank you MS/Epic! Great deal!

Why do you even bother? Are you biased on everything? It seems like if it's not Ps3 then you have some stupid little comment about it. This isn't that bad of a deal. I even sold my xbox to get a ps3. Everyone has their own right to their own console, the only reason why i have one is for the exclusive titles.

I will have to respectfully disagree. Halo Reach LE console had lines and numbers. My brother owns it and it didn't impress me like this one.

If the colours were swapped, I would've been fine with it, but I'm not sure if I could proudly display this console as a GEARS fan without referencing the movie "CARRIE".

The thing that worries me, is they compare this to the halo:reach console, which wasn't that good. And considering most people who plan on buying Gears 3 already have an xbox...

The 360 slim I have is just fine for me. Of course if I had a ridiculous amount of money and could spend it without worry, I would buy one. The controller is a bit pricey, but might pick one up.

thats a really good deal seeing as a 250gb 360,2 wireless controllers, a mic, and the game costs almost 500 dollars this bundle is very much worth it might get this seeing as i have an original elite

Very nice solid look, and they gave it a 320 which shows they are not stopping at 250 which is a very nice size.

I already have a Slim and I am not a huge Gears lover, but for the Gears lover this seems perfect.

I just buy an Xbox, and now they unveil this shit? DAAAMMNNN!

2 weeks ago my white xbox and elite died in the same week. Took those down to be traded into gamestop and got the 250gb slim.

I wish I had waited now... this has me jizzing in my pants especially since I'm such a Gears fan.

I guess I'll have to buy one of those controllers though :)

I really hope the start up sound is the chainsaw revving. And the shutdown sound is Marcus saying "Ah, crap!"

Damn i really want to get this. I love gears, and its about time to upgrade from my 20gb model. Hopefully i have enough cash before they sell out.

Just bring back the plain red RE5 Elite. That thing was badass.

I'd get this, but it's got GEARS OF WAR running down the front of it. It just makes it look cheap on the part of the design I'll be looking at most frequently.

Looks like something geared towards someone who is angry. I thought the Halo 360 looked classy ... this looks ANGRY RAWWRRRR ... Still have to say this thing looks totally bad ass. I wouldn't buy it but if I were about 9 years younger I'd be all over it.

Yeah, that means these will be hitting mass market soon outside this exclusive console. I don't know, I guess I do fine with my 250. Even though I copy every game to my hard drive I delete ones I'm done playing for a while.
